Afternoon everyone, am I imagining it or did QVC used to have a Christmas day on the 25th of each month after July??? I put it on this morning expecting a day of Christmas stuff and nothing.

VULPIX haha I love that you are already planning on the garden if you do move :rotfl: well done on all your decorating being finished. Our conservatory is like a fridge in winter made worse by the dog flap! I have the radiators on full out there all the time when the heating is on. So teenagers are into the Beatles these days :o

04624181 hope the drs appointment went well and you got your diagnosis

GIRLINAYELLOWDRESS great that you are all packed and ready to go, I hope it all goes through soon for you

Free - they did used to. I looked last night expecting to see things on the guide for today (not necessarily to buy, just for some Christmas spirit) and nada! I've looked on their guide and there's nothing in the next 2 weeks apart from an Alison Cork(?) Christmas show on 1st Sept I think.

That sounds lovely MURIE, well done DD.

FREE they certainly did, Countdown to Christmas, I used to look forward to it. I think QVC is pretty rubbish now to be honest although I do still buy the odd thing. I remember the craft shows with Dawn Bubba and the Sunday night colle tables show. Now it almost all fashion and beauty :(

Hi MRSG, nice to see you.

0462 how did your appointment go today? Hope it was useful.

GYD keeping everything crossed for you for a quick exchange and completion. I decluttered before packing and sent loads to the CS but I've still got rid of quite a bit more since unpacking and there's still more to go. :D

VULPIX hope you managed to get your gardening done, the weather here has been nice today so hope it was for you. I'll keep everything crossed for your move too. I didn't plan to do anything to our new garden and we haven't stopped lol.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Well, first I made some chilli jam.Same recipe as I have used before but it is rocket fuel.I think you could die if you ate a teaspoon of it.

Somehow spent 5 hours in the garden and only did the back.My friend is bringing her friend to visit tomorrow morning so I need to get up early and make some cheese scones, hense the chilli jam. When they have gone i will do the side and front gardens(.I still never posted photos.)

Chilli jam is also for the homemade crates for the grown up kids.BTW those crates look really nice with a couple of coats of emulsion.

Mr V working extra tomorrow and DD2 at work so home alone again.Don't mind at all if I can get in the garden.

I forgot to say before,Ben and Holly? Can someone explain.

GYD Be ruthless. It feels great to get rid of stuff and have a fresh start in a lovely uncluttered house.

Free is your dog flap actually the size of a door? Knowing that you have a huge dog.

Thanks for the heads up with Matalan Mrs G,I will be on there directly.

    Nice gift there Murie,lovely Daughter.

DD2's phone is dead. She took it to the repair place in its bag of rice and when they opened it ,it was still full of water.Too expensive to repair. She has DD1's old phone to be going on with.

    Night night all Vx

Also on a mission to find some knitted ballet type slipper boots for my mother in law. I was gifted some last year that I never wore so gave to her, and she loves them because they have no seam that rubs on her feet. Think I can find them now - can I heck so might need to discreetly look at the name/make on the bottom of them if she ever takes them off!

Just seen ballet type slippers on Lidl from the 27th

    Might they be Totes?

VULPIX Ben and Holly is a children's tv series, Holly is a tiny princess and Ben is an Elf (not the Christmas variety though) - they're really cute (and really tiny) and much better mannered than my namesake.

Its a childrens TV show Vulpix. But it also happens to be my childrens names so I am always asked if they are named after the show but mine were named first. Ben is an elf and he lives in a tree with the Grand Old Elf, and Holly is a fairy and she lives in a castle.....the title of the show is Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom. :D:D:D
Sorry to hear about DD phone as well

046 - hope your appointment has gone well.

Spring - they are totes but they don't have a seam along the bottom because they are knitted so they don't hurt her feet or rub - will have to look into it properly later.

Peppa - well done on your decluttering.

Murie - the reindeer sounds fab!

    MrsGiggleWick - Hi!!!!

Well hubby came home last night and announced he got his weeks off wrong so instead of being off next week hes actually off the week after next week which means I am off shoe shopping with the kids today. Not sure I will manage to get the eldest (stepson) out of bed to come with us so I may just leave him in his pit as I want to leave about 9am to be there nice and early and he is definitely not a morning person. Expecting this will be the quickest £60 I have ever spent.

Then its home to clean and tidy - Ive been working all week and boy is the house showing it so this weekend I will be mainly cleaning, washing etc. My in laws are away at their caravan too which means I get to use their tumble drier in return for looking after their budgies and fish :-) :T They are away for a week next week so Im hoping to blast through all the washing I have!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
    Time to find me again
