MRSINVISIBLE shopping for DD must be a nightmare. Why can't they just sell patches to be sewn on blazers and have plain jumpers then everyone can shop where it suits them.

    .

because that would obviously make life so much easier and cheaper for parents!

Peppa - I like having a dining table to lay the dishes out on and everyone help themselves but if it comes to it I will have to put them all on the side and we can serve ourselves buffet style!

Princess - I have a bigger difference between Ben and Holly. He is 13 and she is 7 but my step zombie Josh is now 16 so theres 3 years between the two eldest and they get on so well its unbelievable - nice age range. I hope the dairy free helps little man.

046 - hope you BG man has been and that you now have a fully functioning boiler. I say buy the tree too. My mum has a white tree and decorates it with blues and purples and it looks stunning but shes never been very traditional in the first place.

WEll my plans for this evening have changed. My husband Owen usually work sin Swansea but has been asked to go and cover a shift in Poole but his manager thinks its too far to travel in the morning, do a shift and get home - so has decided to put him up in a hotel for the evening if he travels down tonight.....so husband will be finishing at 6, popping in for clothes etc and then travelling down so I now have an evening to myself from 9pm when the kids go to bed.....so I think i will light a candle, watch some rubbish tv, and might even sit and start wrapping some presents I have already brought

Your evening sounds lovely SAMMYKAYE and I'm loving that you've got Ben and Holly :D

Off to paint the second coat on the kitchen wall now. DH is having a dizzy day and has been in bed asleep all day so long m doing all the bits I don't need him for. Must get it finished before the electrician comes back on Saturday. Plumber did a great job yesterday so I'm actually using the new kitchen now even if it isn't quite finished.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

So many people comment on their names but my two are the original as the TV show started about 2 years after Holly was born :-) ;););) Should of trademarked them!

Also on a mission to find some knitted ballet type slipper boots for my mother in law. I was gifted some last year that I never wore so gave to her, and she loves them because they have no seam that rubs on her feet. Think I can find them now - can I heck so might need to discreetly look at the name/make on the bottom of them if she ever takes them off!

Just seen ballet type slippers on Lidl from the 27th

Hi everyone, Well British Gas have been out and replaced a part in the boiler. We are now back working!

PK29-I am hoping to get sorted at GP tomorrow. Thanks. Your date idea sounds amazing. I may borrow that idea for a gift for the husband. It would also mean we actually spend some quality time together as a couple.
Peppa- Glad to hear the kitchen is useable, hope DH feels better soon.
Sammykaye18- I have just gone on to ebay to buy it and its sold! its my own fault for waiting so long.

Well I have tackled a mammoth pile of ironing, ironed the kids shirts and put their names in them. Didnt manage to get out to do any uniform shopping today. Ordered DS school bag and lunchbox too. Done a little decluttering in the DS bedroom drawers. Got alot of things for the charity shop xx

    Good morning Folks.

Nothing of a Christmas nature to report as I have barely been out of the house due to decorating. It is on the whole finished, just little snaggy things to complete.I will do the garden today.

I have already been planning the garden at the bungalow. This may never happen as there are just so many hoops to jump through.

Chrissy, what a relief for you and your sister.Good news indeed.

All this talk of milk intolerant babies made me think thats what was probably wrong with my son when he was a baby.Doh,I breast fed! So all the crying was something else.It will pass,he will settle down and all will be well.

I am in my last ever year of school uniforms. All she has had is new trousers as the rest including shoes are ok.I must admit I used to buy second hand jumpers from lost property at primary school for 50p.The number of new jumpers in there with no name was shocking.

I have bought DD2 some Beatles memorabilia from ebay for Christmas. She is a big fan.Its a thing apparently with teenagers at the moment.

My son is back from his travels in less than a week.I have mixed feelings about it.He is applying for as many jobs as is possible but no joy yet.He did get an interview for one but it is 2 days before he returns and they were unable to interview at any other time.

Free. Ice palace in the conservatory sounds lovely. What a good idea. The conservatory at my old house certainly was cold.I used to use it an overflow fridge at Christmas as it was freezing even with a radiator in there.

    Vx

  • I'm getting itchy feet waiting for contracts to be exchanged on our new home now. Everything is packed (has been for years), but as we are downsizing too I keep thinking of things we no longer need, then trying to find what box it's packed in so I can CS it before we go. It will still be a while but hopefully before the seasons change.
