    Yes,I've got mine too.
I just paid the £15 as otherwise it means paying a £100 breakage deposit on arrival which for me is more of an inconvenience.
You can phone and tell them you'll pay the £100 deposit on arrival instead.
Also on mine it said about a £50 cleaning deposit on arrival, which is given back when you leave.
Personally I have no problem with that,I done the same last year at Le Chene Gris(Paris) and the Caravan was spotless when I arrived and spotless when I left so I was refunded the cash.
I'm very happy,I've been given a free upgrade,I expected a 2 bedroom Classic Caravan, instead I've been given a 3 bedroom Caravan of the next level up from Classic.

Can i just ask another question if you pay the £15 is it refunded? or is it a payment instead of paying the £100 deposit ?

The last few years we have done these European holidays at the end of the season and we have never been asked to pay the £100 cleaning deposit. We usually do 2 or 3 of these one after another so for me it would mean paying £15 X3.

On one site I was asked for a deposit of 30 euros which i got back when i left. All the other sites they have never asked for anything, I think i will ask for it to be refunded as I have 3 sites booked again (10 days holiday) so its £45 and if they ask for a deposit I will have to go to the cashpoint ..

    thanks

I have only had confirmation from Eurocamp for one of the holidays so far so not sure what accommodation i have yet. the first one is just a 2 bed 1 bath with decking and A/C which is what i expected.

The caravans are usually much higher spec then the uk ones so as long as there is decking and a bbq I am happy. A/C is standard in Spain so that's a bonus. :)

It's non refundable damage insurance, sounds like in your case you're better off phoning and paying the £100 refundable deposit each time.
Does it mention £50 cleaning deposit on arrival on yours also?
It does mine,at Le Chene they just took bank card details then deleted them when they was satisfied the caravan was cleaned to their standard

Hi yes you will have to pay for ents passes for both holidays if you want to use the facilities. The passes often change colour on changeover days so you will need new ones if you want to use any facilities including going into the shop and the bar if the site has these all in one large building .....

I would say you only want linen for the first holiay (or take your own) but you might need the passes for the second holiday if you want to use any of the facilities. What haven is it ? Someone might know what facilities are behind the pass-access and what are separate?

    Art

    Thanks

We are going to Rockley park. Linen only purchased for the 1st half of break and entertainment passes purchased for the 2nd half only. Not fussed about having them for the first part as effectively only 2 days use.

You'll find that the reception staff at Rockley Park are great, they'll contact you before the break and they know better what goes on there than the generic answers you are getting from Haven head office. They will link your bookings together and they will also ask if anybody has any walking difficulties as some parts of the site are on very steep inclines.

Without the entertainment passes you won't be able to use any of the facilities as they are all in a centralised area and security check your passes, this includes daytime & evening entertainment, swimming pool, restaurant & pub, even Papa John's if you fancy a takeaway pizza you wouldn't be able to get without passes. There is a Spar shop on site which you won't need a pass for and there is a health spa (quite pricey) which does not have a pool. Papa John's will deliver to your caravan so technically you could get a pizza without a pass if you really wanted to!

On the morning of changeover day (I'm guessing Monday from what you have posted), you will be able to pick up your passes first thing from reception and have full use of the facilities from then.

There is so much to do around that area, you won't miss lot having the passes for a couple of days. A trip to Brownsea Island is a must!
  • If you have made more than one booking to make a 10 day or 2 weeks holiday, reply to one booking confirmation from Eurocamp, quote your other booking references and ask them to like the holidays together and apply just apply just one damage waiver to cover all the holidays. I did this yesterday morning and have just had an amended confirmation back with the £15 taken off the 2nd one. I rang them just to check, and she said yes, they are now linked, we shouldn't have to move mobile homes and the £15 paid covers both hols :)
  • Having been lured into this I was disappointed to discover the extra costs, some mandatory, and that by booking direct I could have got precisely the same deal for less money, 3 people expecting to go to North Devon at £9.50 a head actually costs £129 or at the very least £67.85 if you can do without bedlinen and use of the facilities on site - a lot less than honest in my view.

Thanks for your reply Essex boy. I'll give them a try.
  • It pays to read the small print ....

It is fairly well known on these boards that there are extra charges.

Post on the right board - UK Holidays - and you would have found this out sooner.

Why then are you telling us this is a bargain and when did Devon leave the UK...?
  • Has anyone had confirmations from Haven yet? We booked and had confirmation from the Sun straight away but nothing from the park yet?
