Boots Sale

Did anyone try to use a 10% off when you spend £35 voucher that was printed out with receipts a couple of weeks ago? My Mam and aunty both had one today the SA accepted my mam's fine and the discount came off so it was obviously accepted by the till then the SA serving my aunty refused to let her use it saying she couldn't use it because things were already on sale. I DM boots on twitter and they replied saying they confirm you can't use 2 offers in conjunction with each other. Seems a bit strange if the till accepted it surely if you can't use 2 offers together it wouldn't of took the discount off. Also annoying that staff in the same store don't even follow the same rules!0

I went up to the Horwich Boots store in Bolton for 8.15am, ready for 8.30am and was rather surprised to see about 40 people queuing up outside as far back as M&S, all ready with there shopping trolleys, I didn't bother joining the queue and drove to the other Boots in Bolton nearer me which is smaller. That opened at 8am, I was there for about 8.50am and saw plenty of people already loading up car boots with Sanctuary and Champney's items. I guessed there wouldn't be much left when I went in, but surprise there was.
I managed to get a couple of Sanctuary Star Gifts, some Champney's, Jack Wills and a fair amount of Orla Kiely, very pleased to get the Orla Kiely items alone, they had loads of it on the shelf! I also managed to get a Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream EDT gift set marked down with 50% off, but with a further 10% off because the box was damaged - no problems with that, it's ALL MINE!
No problems using vouchers loaded early this morning from app on mobile.
P.S I'm normally the online sale buyer, up all night waiting for the website to go live, whilst falling asleep in my coffee mug come 4am!0 -

This made me laugh...... imagine if you had given it as a present, Oh thank you, lovely, an empty box. Just what I've always wanted.0 -

I hope you can get your money back on it, we saw someone bringing back an incomplete set at about 10am to be refunded while we were still there.
According to other seasoned shoppers at Grimsby, people were queuing at 7.30am to get in (store opened at 8.30). We were a little late (school run etc) and it was heaving when we arrived (much busier than usual but there was a lot of stock), there was still more than enough for everyone though and after a while they started bringing out more stock. we checked out and headed back to the car, had a coffee and went back in to see them bringing out the big Sanctuary star sets and paid for one with my points (somehow I got 1000 points extra on my first shop).
They were still bringing out stock when we left, and plenty of things left on the shelves.
Nipped into Clintons opposite and they'd reduced a load of stuff to 99p. Picked up a music box reduced from £25!
So all in all, a nice haul. I'm sorted for this years presents.
P.S. THERE IS A MONEY OFF VOUCHER IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BIG SANCTUARY SETS0 -
Hi,
I’ve never been to a boots sale before, and was quite apprehensive, but also less bothered with all the delays. My store was busy, but not too crazy. I got there around 9.30am, so I really wasn’t expecting much to be left; however, I didn’t go with much in mind either. As I suspected there really wasn’t much left on the shelves, some Seventeen, Sanctuary, Reiss, and Beauticology sets. But I’ve got to say I was so bemused by the sheer amount of stuff I saw people with, either at the tills or in the aisles or in bags when leaving the shop. In particular, I saw 3 or 4 women all together at the end of an aisle, they had so much stuff between them, that I wasn’t sure if the Sanctuary star gifts near them were theirs or put there by Boots on display. I was glad there was no pushing or shoving because I have a mobility difficulty as one of my health issues. When I saw the store manager passing I asked if they would put out any more stuff because I’ve seen people online saying they bring out more stuff later on, but he said they did that when the shop shut yesterday, so what was out was it.
In the end, I didn’t buy anything, I wasn’t going to buy stuff just for the sake of it, plus when I checked one of the sanctuary sets the sell buy date was 12M compared to the 24M S&G had on theirs when I checked last week. In the end, I popped to Clintons and got a few of their candle sets that were £10 but now £3 with their 70% sale. So Clintons got my money instead, though only £12 lol.
I’m not sure I would go to a Boots sale again, though, not worth it for me.
I hope those that have been got what they wanted.0 -
My daughter was in a school assembly this morning so I didn't get to the store until 10am - Gateshead Team Valley.
All that was left was a few Seventeen make up sets and some candles.
I did have a walk around and spied a S&G case set that someone must have dumped so I picked that up as I know a friend wanted one but she also couldn't get to store this morning as her child was in an awards ceremony at school.
So I didn't get anything for meHere I go again on my own....0 -

That is rubbish as most stuff is on an offer of some sort or other in Boots all the time. Are they saying if something is on 3 for 2 or a save 1/3 you can not use the vouchers? If I was you I'd email them, details on the receipt, and ask for that clarification as it isn't true.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
Staff coming out the shop with stuff. I know staff allowed to get stuff but it looks like these staff members aren't working that day. If they aren't working they should queue up like the rest of us.
I don't mind those who are working early on.
Not sure why they would bother if they are not working. Once you have taken into account the time and cost of getting there the difference isn't worth it. At 50% off they get their staff discount of 10% or 20%, depending on what it is, but apparently they don't at 70%.
Couple of hours of time, travel etc, you would have to be saving £20 to make it worth while. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

I replied to them asking why the till would accept it if it wasn't allowed and said I've never had any problem using a voucher before and questioning why their SA in the same store have different rules still waiting for a response!0 -

I would still send an email rather than a DM on twitter or PM on Facebook.
Not sure why but the information the Facebook/Twitter team give out is sometimes not 100%. Like one of them saying the 70% off sale was online as well, only to be corrected later by a colleague from instore. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
