I used to love the old boots thread when Mimi and Sandra Scarlett used to come on and tell us what all the good bargains were and kept us amused about what they had bought. Now it just isn't the same.

I've fallen out with Boots completely this year - I am not trailing to the store & shoving my way through the once-a-year crowds to pick up the rubbish & leftovers which I'm sure they order/save for the 60-70% off days.
They haven't improved their website - I loaded my basket (twice), then couldn't checkout (again!).
So they don't deserve the custom.
I'll be shopping at Superdrug, House of Fraser, M & S & wherever else.

Let alone during the melee for the hunt for any "bargains"

Went this morning as always 3rd Weds after Xmas, was told probably by an employee!

Obviously not on! Lady serving told me February, not next week! They have rack of products in storage for the 70% sale but are trying to clear the current stock at half price.

Luckily I have a discount card so saved a bit on a few purchases 👍🏽👍🏽

A member of staff who told me two weeks ago that it wouldn't be the 11th (I thought she would be wrong) told me today that it is definitely 18th as she told me all along. She said there were queues outside today at 7.20 when the shop doesn't open until 8.30. The people in the queue wouldn't believe the staff when they kept saying it wasn't today.


I'm after the S&G star gift and the No7 star gift if I can get them but if I don't manage to I won't be heartbroken.

My OH walked passed the Boots store this morning on his way to work and he said that it was like wild animals surrounding their prey. Lots of families all with a bag full of bags.

He said as soon as the doors opened they all ran to different areas and stopped dead in their tracks when the got there to find out that everything was half price.

He found it really funny, but felt for the staff as they had to put up with the harassment from all the irate people.

I think Boots should take a leaf out of Morrison's book and limit the amount of items everyone can buy. After all who needs a shelf full of toiletries?
