Went this morning as always 3rd Weds after Xmas, was told probably by an employee! :T:p:money:
Previously it has fallen on the 3rd OR 4th Wednesday after Christmas.
Sometimes you get people saying that it's the 3rd Wednesday in January. That too is incorrect. Previously it has fallen on the 2nd OR 3rd Wednesday in January.
The only thing that is consistent so far is that it has been on a Wednesday. I can forsee this changing in the future, especially if the staff are subject to abuse by customers over the date. Am not convinced should this happen it will start falling on a weekend, which is traditionally a retailers busier time. I can see it moving to other midweek dates.0 -
According to the historical dates someone posted it has always been 13th-19th January and a Wednesday except for the year of bad snow in January so I'd expect it to be whatever Wednesday falls within that range.0

Nice little swarm of locusts outside my local boots as I was walking to work this morning, getting all excited and waiting for the doors to open. I chuckled to myself as by my reckoning the were too early, I was right.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

Hope it is this Friday rather than next Weds but I suppose if it's ONLY ever been on a Weds then Fri isn't too likely is it. Our local Boots never give anything away so I'm not even going to bother to ask them!0

I too agree that there should be a limit on the number of items you can buy. It's sad and disgusting that perople feel it necessary to physically fight over a box of toiletries, and don't tell me it's because these people are so hard up it's the only time they can afford anything like that....I see the same people trying to flog the sets st cat boots.

When you speak to her again maybe suggest she lets her colleagues know via their internal website so colleagues can be arranged to serve the customers. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

So if we pop her off an email elizabeth.fagan@wba.com she'll confirm she told you?
