Ooh where?! Didn't even know this existed till I've just googled based on you saying that!! Will look in my Mr T next week!
I found it in the freezer isle in Morrisons. The LM range has also released a 'shredded hoisin duck' and 'Chicken Paella.
The duck is vegan, the chicken paella is vegetarian (it has egg in it). I've not tried either of them yet, they are both in the freezer waiting to be used.
Oh and they also do a burrito mix ( i think its a mock beef mince, but not sure)..i've eaten that one and it was really lovely!
About £2 a bag from what i remember0 -
I only spent £3 today, on some freezer bags and some choc chips (i'm baking some cookies tomorrow). That is fine, i still have £35 left for this weeks shopping, and not much else to get. I'll have to pop in and get some fresh fruit on Monday/Tuesday, but that should be it.
The boys are coping (so far) was less junk food. The older one has eaten his whole weeks allowance of junk, so i know he'll be moaning tomorrow, but he has had it explained to him that I'm not shopping till Friday next week (as has my youngest) so he cant say he wasnt warned!
I'm hoping that this is going to help me lose weight too, and both the boys could do with losing a little as well, especially my youngest. Of course i havent mentioned weight to him, i've just said that we all need to get a bit healthier.
Elsiepac asking about the Linda McCartney foods reminded me that i have the chicken and duck from that vegetarian/vegan range in my freezer, so i think they will make up some of my lunches for the next week.0 -
Thanks to all who made suggestions for meal planning threads/posts - pulled myself out of the back to work doldrums and finished the week with two new meals!
Wed: baked cod with soy sauce, honey, spring onions and chilli, with sweetcorn and new potatoes;
Thurs: Spanish chicken, basically just chicken breasts cooked in white wine and stock, with onions, peppers and rice added 15 mins before the end of cooking time. BBC GoodFood recipe here

Another NSD today so that's a record breaking (for me!) 6 in a row!!!
Am going to have to start being creative with my cooking as DP came home with about £80 worth of pork in various guises last night that he had gifted to him at work. Was well chuffed but fear we may end up with pork overload!!January 2018 Grocery Challenge - £0/£300.
Saving for Xmas 2017 - £0/£2000.

Hello everyone... I am very happily still eating Christmas goodies, but did my first shop of the year yesterday. £9.02 spent on spuds and veg, eggs, bread and yoghurt.
Yes, let's eat real food (what's this, chocolate? Thank you very much!)
Edit: okay, I'm adding in £19.24 of Aldi spend from December... as it missed my outgoings and only left my account today. So that's £28.26 spent so far. DOUBLE EDIT - plus local shop £2.44 = £30.70
If it were just a challenge to me I wouldn't count it, but that's my actual budget, so I need to.
Add another £4... I succumbed to the tuck shop. Twice.Keep reading books!
August grocery challenge budget £150, £90.14 spent in total - £59.86 remaining.0 -
Sounds like everyone is doing really well. Still no spends here but we will pop to the shops tomorrow for supplies. Might see if we can pick 7 days of stuff for next week from our list. Not much to get. Will be getting my wisdom tooth removed next Friday (eep) so will make sure it's a stew type for tea then.
Pickled onion in beef stew experiment was a big success. I'd recommend dicing as you would with a normal onion in stew, you get a lovely mellow flavour. Mum was horrified, but it wasn't for her and she didn't taste it. DS loved it and we polished off the last of it today. Glad to have shifted that jar.0 -
i managed 2 nsd. Had to get milk and bread for lunches and the kids deserved a treat so i bought chcocolate roll and custartd for pudding which has done yesterday and today. and they had some sweets after school
i have £9 to add for groceries to my spend so far.0 -
A spend of £2.88 today on 2 packets of noodles and 24 pkts of wotsits.
I love crisps but I've put 6lbs on over ChristmasSo treat myself to these so I can have a bag as they are only 90 calories.

Back from ald! an spent £62.61 which is a tenner lower than my normal shop so we shall wait and see whether that lasts!! Also spent £3.00 in B&M on toilet rolls and chilli mix. Very pleased with that, just got to keep it up.
Was given a belated present today, a bottle of prosecco. I have given up alcohol in my attempt to get fit and lose weight (lost 3lb this week) but I know I will be tempted..... we'll see!
