£54.81 to date. Been using up lots of odds and ends. We indulged in a takeaway yesterday to cheer ourselves up - DH car is terminal. But we didn't have any last month and we have a budget for indulgences. The cinema today is the same. But that will pretty much wipe out last month and this month.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

Returned from shopping and I succumbed to a pork joint in the butcher's and seem to have bought two loaves of bread (a french stick in the butcher's and then another in the sm) - brain dead or what! I also sneaked a massive piece of french brie into the freezer - it was £7 reduced to £2.35 and will stay there until Easter walking holiday with ten chums.
Spent 19% of January's budget so far so not all bad.
SLSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

so this week i have spent £9.00 in aldi and thats it!!
im so proud of myself- i have usually been spending £40 a week to get an asda delivery and running out of various things or treating us to a takeaway so was easily spenidng over 50 quid a week.
have meal planned for next week so will be nipping to aldi tomorrow- according to mysupemarket my shop will come to £14.39.
so over 2 weeks i will have saved £56!!!!!
following week will be slightly more expensive as i will need to buy dog food- any tips on where is cheaper but nice quality?
Well done, that is great!
Re the dog food, it may be worth asking over on the pets section, here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1430 -

How true - now I am sooo pleased I put back the electric steamer in Ald1really felt I had saved the £17.99 by not buying it!! (I know this is not very logical.)
Spent £20.02 in there mostly on pasta, fruit, veg and frozen stuff. Then £3.60 on 2 large gammon steaks from butcher. Need to do a meal plan before heading to Sainsbobs for the rest.
This may be a dumb question. How do I find my posts on a thread? Sometimes I lose track of whether I've added a receipt to my signature so looking at previous posts would be useful.GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
Quick update - both Ald1 and Tesc0 food shopping done and £47.96 added to sig as a result. Also added £1.90 which OH spent on lunch whilst he was out the other day as it doesn't fit any other budget category of mine

Thank you, I'll try that0 -
Hi everyone. My first shop of the month is done. £26.25 in Aldi which included dog food and a restock of fruit and veg. Another £3.25 in Home Bargains on tissues, kitchen roll, chopped garlic and chopped ginger.
That gives me everything I need for breakfasts, lunches and dinners until next Saturday so I'm determined to stay completely away from the shops. I'm setting my sights on a summer holiday so every extra penny I have at the end of each month will be topping up my holiday fund:)
Have a good weekend.

So far we have spent a total of £47.97/£155. So we have £107.03 left.
For breakfast I had an apple crumble crisp/mess kind of thing I made in the slow cooker the other day with apples that were looking sorry for themselves. Had it with a bit of alpro yogurt (on offer for £1 at the moment) and strawberries I bought reduced. Very nice.
Have vegetable stew in the slow cooker for dinner. That used the reduced parsnips I bought before Christmas and a bag of ready diced swede and carrots I bought for 14p the other day, as well as a bag of leeks I had in the freezer (cut up and frozen a while ago, bought reduced). It smells beautiful. Will have over a jacket potato (free as ma sent me back home after Christmas with a bag :j).I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0
