Yes, I did read that but I think at best the information is incorrect. As I mentioned RR is an over the air update so doesn't require an internet connection to work. Simple way to prove it, give it a go.
Update: As it happens I just did and can confirm that RR works without your Sky box being connected to the internet. Try it yourself if you have doubts.
Interesting. I'll give it a go but I'm not at home at the moment.0 -
Do you turn everything off when you have a thunderstorm?
I have turned off my PC and game consoles during storms as sometimes the electricity supply has drops causing the lights flicker and it put my PS3 into recovery mode it didn't cause any lasting harm, but I had to use the rebuild database option some equipment doesn't like the power being cut.0 -
I always turn mine off when I'm at work or not using it as why pay for electric to keep it on when it's not needed, I realise the cost to run it would be very small but as they say every little helps.
You should also turn your boiler off too - that'll be using electricity when it's not actually heating anything...0 -
Should take the batteries out of all of your clocks too ..
No point in them keeping the time when there is no body there to read it0 -

I remember driving a van, possibly Renault Trafic, by design, the intermittent wipers would stop when you applied the handbrake.
That saved a bit of fuel.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Your Sky box does not need to be connected to the internet to operate - the only reason, for the first 12 months - is to allow Sky to reap data - ie) Your viewong habits
My HD box does not even come with "wireless" capability anyway !!0
