Thanks
We took the bus. If you are lucky and get a front window seat (top) you get a wonderful view of the Strip as you go.0 -
we take the bus, usually, but always the SDX as it's much faster than the Deuce...and we buy a 24-hour pass so get more uses out of it, and that sort of makes us think 'hey, where else can we go?' If not that, Uber or Lyft, for sure.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Another vote for the SDX. Much faster than the Deuce. If you have plenty of time, front row top of the Deuce is good for sightseeing up or down the strip.0

Also used the bus $8 for a 24h pass0

Has anybody else noticed that since the atrocity at Mandalay Bay the flight prices according to my reminders have gone up!
So it does not seem to have scared people off?0 -
it was business as usual on Tuesday, as we sun bathed by the pool all day at M Bay (am home now
)
Lots of security mind, and quiet on the beach area, but busy in the rest of the place......0 -
Went down to Town Square today.First time down the south strip since Sunday's shootings.We used the SDX bus,it took us ages to get to town square.Once we got passed the Mandalay Bay hotel I expected the bus to get going a bit quicker...but the traffic just crawled along.It wasn't until we got to the welcome to Vegas sign area that we realised why.
They have placed what I presume is 58 white crosses just near the sign area as a memorial to those who died.It was very touching to drive passed and see the line of crosses with lots of people paying their respects.
Since Sunday we haven't been watching the news on TV so we are not aware of the media coverage,so to us seeing the white crosses placed as a memorial really hit home.0 -

those crosses were made by a guy who lives In Illinois,he made them and drove all night to put them there. The lawmakers have said they can stay for 40 days I believe0 -

Thanks for that photome...as I say,we haven't been keeping up with the news on matters,so I would think people back in the uk will know more about what happened that us in Vegas at the moment.
I was told today by someone that they had opened a memorial garden for the victims.. I assumed that what we saw as we passed by the Vegas sign was it.Anyone know if that's not the case ?0 -
It's at Charleston and Casino Center.
