I've been watching the coverage and following on Twitter. Lots of different reports. I hope they have the situation under control now.

Hoping that everyone is now safe. Only 11 days before we go. It's a bit disconcerting but it won't change our plans.

I have had so many txt messages today people saying are we still going....the answer is yes...dreadful things can happen on my doorstep in Manchester,unfortunately it's the world we live in now....

Arrived in vegas yesterday at noon.Went out for the day as soon as we arrived and only heard about the shootings when we got back to the hotel at about 11 pm.We are staying downtown for the first 2 nights so we're no where near what happened.Awful news to hear on our first day here though.

Took a while to get from the Mirage back to MC as strip was on lockdown...... got in around 3am.....

excel to M bay section still closed off, think they are allowing guests only to the hotels down there.... the rest seems back to normal, but the mood/atmosphere in general is different as expected.....


I think most people are getting on with business as usual, fights against the sadness of what happened last night....


I did eye up which bench I was gonna sleep on last night, before we decided to walk on the road down to Monte hoping we could get there... as word on the street was, cops weren't allowing anyone to go past Bellagio, and the doors were closed on everything when we got out of the mirage at around 1:45am......


will try and post some pics when I get back, need to figure out which website to use for photo hosting!
