Maybe it's just me,but that's a very strong first post.

    i wouldn't worry about it :)

so anyway, i'm leaving all the riffraff behind and have booked 3 nights at the Palazzo :D $190/night for Fri, Sat, Sun in a Luxury 1 King Suite, which I thought was a decent price :) (booked on free cancellation just in case something better comes along)
  • I didn't expect a reaction like that!

To clarify I meant as in very drunk and disorderly people acting crazy, I wasn't referring to a persons class in the literal sense.

    Stop digging.

I have also stayed at the Pallazzo and Wynn and seen drunk people doing crazy stuff during march madness

any recommendations for choosing Venetian over Palazzo, or vice versa?

I can't comment about the Palazzo, but last year, we booked a basic room at the Venetian and I did the $20 trick at reception (I actually asked for a reduction in the resort fee as we were staying there for 14 nights) and ended up with a Luxury Suite with an amazing view of the Strip and the same resort fee as a basic room.
I have to say that the luxury room upgrade was well worth the $20 tip. :T:T
And, tbh, I found the Venetian easier to find my way around than Palazzo. I kept getting lost trying to get to the Fashion Mall from Palazzo. My sense of direction completely failed me every time.
Sorry I can't help anymore but hope what I've told you helps a little bit. TBH, I'm still amazed that the $20 trick got me all that. :rotfl:

Agreed. I was joking, in reaction to the previous snobbish poster.

I've used Motel 6's during road trip holidays all across the USA and they're always excellent. Super 8's as well but they're a bit more expensive and their staff are not quite so consistently friendly.

EDIT: BTW I fully realise that many people who spend their entire holiday in Las Vegas prefer to stay in one of the casino resort hotels.

  • Not been to Vegas now for a few years, booked to go in march but I have stayed in motels and super 8's, circus circus, Excalibur and downtown in El Cortez. It's just a room and a bed as far as I'm concerned. This time will be off strip with just one night at the Luxor Curtesy of My Vegas. I just couldn't justify the resort fees bumping up the cost, especially with the pound so bad against the dollar, oh for the days of two for one lol

Seen more !!!!!!!s in the Cosmo last year and the Aria, than we've seen in the Lux....
As we all know, all hotels attract all kinds of people, agree with the others, burb's post wasn't the best!

I'm back on my 2017 mission, how to do Vegas for 2 weeks in June, and paying less than we did last year (£445.26).... Think I got my work cut out!!!!!!! :D
