Finally sorted out trip #16 to Vegas.
Flying out 23rd Feb with Virgin, and back on 2nd March, used up some miles, so the flight was only £232. Economy is usually not the best use of miles, but I'm happy with it.
Got 3 nights booked in the Downtown Grand, just off Fremont Street. Booked through 'Priceline Express Deals' for £40 per night, which is fairly good for weekend prices, and then 4 nights comped at Harrah's.
Even though it's trip #16, I'm still really excited about it. :j:j0 -
Morning, has anyone here been to see "O" at the Bellagio. Looking to book tickets for September, so can get any seats. Someone on Tripadvisor suggests block 203 row P and O - these are the "cheapest" seats but it says they are fab views. Anyone agree/disagree please? TIA0

looking at the breakdown of our potential 6 nights at the Vdara in April (city corner suite), the first 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) account for over 60% of the total cost - that'll explain why i've not seen much of a good deal on the rooms.
so we're looking at using this as a good excuse to split our stay, first 3 nights somewhere new, last 3 nights at Vdara.
we can get a Luxury Suite King at Venetian/Palazzo for about £80-90 less than the Vdara for the first three nights... so these are leading the way at the moment.
any recommendations for choosing Venetian over Palazzo, or vice versa?0 -
Hi. Can anyone advise about Canyon helicopter tour. I know all about not the real canyon stuff. We just want a West Rim tour and landing.
We've booked via virgin and their conciage service say we can do it for about $450 for sunrise champagne breakfast with maverick.
Other posts suggest you can do it around the £200 but haven't found that info myself. And is it best to book in advance or wait and find an offer whilst in Vegas
Any help/advice welcome.
We are booked to get married at chapel of the flowers on April 10th too. Not relevant just thought I'd share lol
We booked direct with Papillon, we had the Champagne Brunch trip which worked out at $329.00 each all in with a discount, this includes a shuttle pickup from your Hotel to Culver City Airport and then the same back. Some of the other Companies offer Limo pickups but are a lot more expensive, trip was for my daughters 30th birthday and was excellent, she still talks about it being the best holiday ever!! This was in September last year so prices so should be similar.0 -

Only 50 days til my next trip. Went for the first time in 2010 and been back every year since, so this will be my 8th time! This time it's for one of my best friend's stag dos, so will probably be more wild than ever before, although I didn't think that was possible given some recent trips.
Got direct return flights for £350 which I'm very happy with.
Outbound is Norwegian from Gatwick to Vegas, and return is Norwegian from LAX to Gatwick.
Got 4 nights booked in Excalibur for £255 per person based on 2 sharing (including taxes but excluding resort fees) - £510 for 4 nights seems very expensive for an Excalibur room, but we're going over a weekend (Thurs 9 Mar - Mon 13 Mar) and everywhere else was even more expensive.
Then on Mon 13 Mar we are renting a car and driving to LA, where we spend one night at an AirBnb in Venice Beach before flying home on Tue 14 Mar.
Flights £350
4 nights at Excalibur £255 (+resort fees but will try to get those waived somehow!!)
1 night in LA AirBnb £58 per person
Total = £663 for direct return flights + 5 nights digs, fairly happy with that
Does anyone know if Excalibur's pool will be open by then? Or indeed, if it will be warm enough to use the pool?
Also I have been trying to find dates of when the pool party season begins (Wet Republic, Marquee etc) but everyone just seems to say "early to mid March" - does anyone know when specific dates will be announced?
Thanks!0 -

In my experience pools (don't know specifically about Excalibur) start to open around the beginning of March but will be closed on certain days depending on the weather.0 -

I prefer the Palazzo as I find it easier to navigate than the Venetian with next weekends trip making it 4 stays there in 9 months.
I like staying there because it has a better type of person compared to else where on the strip but that's just my opinion.0 -

Wow...my wife and I must be scum then...as we have stayed in The Orleans about a dozen times, and slummed it in the Luxor on a few occasions.
Maybe it's just me,but that's a very strong first post.
I don't actually think anyone is a "better type" of person than me...or a "worse type" come to that.
Sorry if this posts offends anyone.0
