Morning all,
I am feeling really quite unwell today, luckily not hungry! But it has meant that i do not feel up to going to the gym, which is a little dissappointing. Oh well.
Nibbling while studying is something i have always struggled with, and now i nibble while writing reports! Oh well i just don't allow food in my office, which is upstairs, very often and thus have to run up and down the stairs everytime i want something!
Keep smiling everyone, just think we may be able to get some post soon!Leopardlady

Newlywed
You are right... the cook gets to decide what is served :T .... might it work with salmon then?... i love salmon as it is but do thai salmon steaks which i adore..hubby isnt keen on salmon so he has chilli when i want salmon
all you do, is finely slice 1 red onion, 1" fresh ginger cut into matchsticks, 1 clove garlic sliced.. and gently sautee that off in a small pan, add 1oz soft dark brown sugar, 2tbs fish sauce warm until the sugar has dissolved...
then put your (4)pieces of salmon on pieces of foil...pull up the sides to form a wall, divide the mix between them and wrap up tightly and wang in the oven until the salmon is cooked..usually about 10 mins.... it is stunning served with stir fry or noodles.. the mix can be left to cool, you can then make the parcels and leave em in the fridge overnight until you get in from work.....
It sounds odd, but you get sweet, salty, hot and with salmon being creamy..mmmmm
Churchmouse.... thats exactly what im doing... bulking out with veggies... we love veg so its no hardship... but it means even though we eat meat most days, we are still eating less volume than we used too...and you don't notice:T-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
MrsM - you shouldn't have ignored the lebkuchen - you should have bought some and sent it over!!!
My local supermarket have small bags of parsnips but they are much more expensive than I remember at the moment. Hopefully they will come down in price soon!
The Moroccan paste mix is a little bit spicy - enough to make your lips slightly tingle but not enough to need waterThink it may drown out the taste of the salmon a bit - I love salmon just grilled with lemon.

Morning ladies!
MrsM - I bought a little one of Winnie the Pooh:o
Not done tapestry before only cross-stitch and as I had the grandkids with me when I went to get something I ended up with Winnie:D As it happened last night I did none......fell asleep watching Holby City and woke up at the end  It did mean I didn't nibble though!
Today I've had 2 slices of toast and marmalade for breakfast and just had a banana .
Lunch - I've brought a low fat cream cheese and salad sandwich on home-made granary bread but I've got a migraine lurking so might have to go and get something else
Tonight I have to go to my daughter's straight from work - it's her birthday tomorrow - 30   so I'll be late home and starving so I might have a bag of lowfat crisps before I leave work and I plan to make broad bean rissotto when I get in (or jacket and beans if OH can't wait!!)0 -
not very well today so eating what takes my fancy, not much really so far 2 chicken sandwiches. working on the theory food isn't top of my agenda so if i fancy something theres probably a very good reason for it. hope you're all well and have a good day
Sorry to hear you're not well either leoparlady, hope you're better soon0 -
Hi Debtfree,
I may follow your example, i have eaten a yog and drunk lots of sugar free squash so far, but may have what i feel like! I am sure i will be back on top tomorrow, my just feel sorry for myself today, a bit self indulgant, but that is easy when self employed, no one to shake their heads!
Look after yourself and don't worry about food until you are feeling better, then you can up the exercise and feel great in no time!Leopardlady

i genuinely feel when you're ill your body knows what it needs and to e honest i feel to rough to care anyway!
however my new improved food willpower is helping my purse, ive cut the family spends by £20 a week, before we were spending it all and granted £10 goes on my bus pass but the rest was on junk and bus fair for dh. the other day instead of paying for dh to get the bus to pick Sophie up together we walked the mile and a half. and normally when im ill i reach straight for a big bar of chocolate but i don't think thats what i want or need so out of £30 for the week i still have £15 and the rest has gone on things for my course and shower gel for the gym!
so despite feeling ill im positive, just not looking forward to this afternoon on my own with the 2 kids, dh goes to work at 1.30 and Sophie goes to bed at 4.30 then hell be in at 8.30, not looking forward to it at all. think itll e dr who and harry potter on repeat lol0 -
Keep smiling, your are sounding very positive considering feeling rough, well done, vids/dvds sound like a great solution to this pm:)Leopardlady

Morning everyone,Didnt have fish for tea last night had steak in the end had a spice mix to sprinkle over it,i'll have to find a recipe so i can some of my own spice mixs/marinades.
This morning my dd2 whos 6 woke me up with breakfast she'd made me:eek:
i was lucky it was just one of her yogurts with a tangerine in it plus she'd put some choclate in it but i just ate the yogurt and tangerine plus an apple.
not sure what to have for lunch, for tea i'v got a packet in the fridge with lemon grass, chillies, and ginger and a few other bits in it (it was something else yellow stickered lol) so will make something with chicken with it .
Weighed myself this morning and i'v stayed the same which was what i was hoping for.
I pigged out on bread abit yestday i know i shouldnt cause it bloats me and makes me feel yuk later but just had to have it so i had for my lunch otherwise i would have just eaten it all day long which would have lead to a binge .

Hi All!
Hope you're all doing well and feeling good about yourselves.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of things that might get me eating breakfast? I've never been very good at eating when I first get up, (can't face it a lot of the time) so end up grazing all morning - I think I'd be better with something savoury, but I'm veggie, so that can be difficult...
Well done everyone for keeping going!0
