It's not silly, its just how you are used to thinking... takes time to get out of that mode
I am not ever going to look like Kate Moss whether it takes me 5 weeks or 5 years and I'm ok with that. I will be happy if at 5ft3 I can get to size 16 and stay there for the rest of my life. What will make me even happier still is not having backache because of oversized boobs and tummy, joints aching because of too much weight, lack of energy ditto, having a wider range of clothes that fit nicely and a backside that doesn't look like a baker's dozen of guinea pigs fighting in a sack. I'll also be satisfied at making the majority of my meals myself and not being suckered in to old bad habits." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -

you are quite right, i need to accept that it took a while to get there and its going to take a while to go!!and a backside that doesn't look like a baker's dozen of guinea pigs fighting in a sack.
two pigs dancing under a blanket here!!- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Vixtress
You've done the right thing by noticing there is a little wobble so early on! Well Done xx
Today is another day, Friday is a great day to feel possitive as it's nearly the weekend! So you can be in a good mood:T
If I were you I wouldn't weigh myself for a while. You might just get cheesed off if it's gone up a little bit so there's no point. Give yourself a couple of weeks of being good to yourself and then when you are feeling stronger you can jump on the scales if you need to.
Vixtress , I honestly believe that we are in making this harder than it needs to be.;) There is no big deal here, you have a few treats too many maybe , but so what? You're not going anywhere and you have all the time in the world to loose a bit of weight so just grab my hand and come with me and we'll carry on together, OK?

Morning fellow losers.
Tonight I am out at a Ladies dinner, can't even remember what I ordered...hang on, just checked diary....
Soup...think it was mushroom
Chicken.....in a sauce i think
Bread and butter pudding.....:(
Oh well, i'm going to offer to pick up my friend and drive us, usually we drive in one car and share a taxi home (£15)
But, in the interests of my weight, I will stay on the water and drive us home. The silly thing is, I can have just as much fun staying sober as when I have a drink.
Some of you may have read about my bridesmaid dress trying on session....anyone got any spare boobs....send them my way please.
Has anyone got any tales to tell about these e-bay shops from China that make dresses?
Only my friend has implied that I will be paying for my own dress..(the one she liked was £180  and it would need altering).
A dress from a bridal shop is approx £140 + £35 for altering..then I will have shoes to get.....oh almost forgot...the other bridesmaid is Miss Twit, so I am expected to pay for this lot twice.
Enough of my waffle, brekkie today will be:-
Readybrek.
Lunch will be:-
Salad box
And dinner as above.
Think I'd better do some OS cleaning to burn some calories before tonight.
I might even have a go at my exercise dvd....Gaynor Faye and Dan Whiston, Fit Friends...If I had the cash, I'd pay Dan to be my personal trainer.... :kisses:

feel i need a bit of moral support at the mo, i havent gone off the rails but can feel myself slipping a bit, Have been trying to reduce the bread to just breakfast but all my meals today have involved yummy home made bread and it has to stop !! i know too much bread just doesnt do for me.
vix
I know how you feel about bread! I just love it and its really hard to limit it isnt it!
Today I'm being a slob and having Weightwatchers frozen curry for tea:obut shall try and be healthy the rest of the day!
weetabix and banana
grapes
not sure about lunch but usually have something on toast.eggs or beans
banana
WW curry:eek:
yoghurt
Well done to all those who have lost:T to those who havent dont beat yourself up about it, we're in this for the long term so what difference does one week really make?
Have a great day, I just love reading this thread, its so motivating! so thanks all!:TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning folks...
OOHHH im back before everyone but good old frogga...morning frogga  -trie to PM you this morning..threw me off again:mad:
Well dentist has drilled through my bridge to remove a nerve:eek: (wasn't having him remove it ..it cost £900:eek: so he isn't weakening it by taking it out:p ...cleaned it, filled it and in a month im back again to have it re-driled, cleaned and filled ...eughhh so im sat here with a nice numb face , trying to drink my tea without slurping n dribbling:p ...have taken the painkillers ready for the anasthetic wearing offand am on antibiotics to kill the infection...which is all i wanted in the first place:rolleyes:
Well back to the matter in hand ladies..and gents... do we have any guys on here? just wondered as i assumed we were all girlies
Frogga....
fancy saying i wasn't trying this week....ask my hubby and he will tell you "im very very trying":rotfl:
Kittyscarlett....
sometimes we have to grab what is available and convenient and lets be honest there is something special about some of the sandwiches you can buy...oohh the sainsbury one that had pickled gherkin, beef, horseraddish and salad... ...sorry im off on one
-oh and whilst im drooling...LAKELAND...mmmmm only the best shop EVER....
You are so right in what you were saying about this time not being a "DIET"..like all of those we have no doubt done...its about changing the way we think... so 1 bag of crisps, or one takeaway... is never gonna cause any damage... thinking about this OS way of eating as a lifelong thing... afterall i have been having this fight from about 16...if not earlier and i will be 36 in december... at last i have lost that desperate feeling of "must lose heaps..must lose it now...can't eat that" etc... i am planning on eating this way for the rest of my life..
Taplady... a whole digestive ..steady on there
.. Biscuits are one of the few things that i didn't get a liking for off my dad :T After he had his first stroke (well before i was born) my dads weight dropped to 10st 4lb and no matter what he ate he never went highr than 10st 7lb...and we are talking about him eating full 8" HM rich fruitcakes on a sunday -with copious amounts of tea with sugar in:eek: and that was after a full sunday dinner and pudding....wonder where i get my greedy moo appetite from
Figgy biccies, dead flies oh and jaffa cakes are the only ones i like...oooohhh and not dunked.eughhhh that makes me feel ill.
Vixtress...heaps of moral support coming your way..we won't let anyone down the slippery slope... you have to get past the rest of us..we are lined up right across it...try and get past us if you can :rotfl:
HM bread..the kiss of death isnt it!!! I have now got into the habbit of waiting for a loaf to go cold, slicing it up and freezing it in 2's.... i still know its there but it gives me those crutial few seconds to think "do i really want that?"... im sure im not the only one who has been sat down eating something, before even realising it..am i....
I have cut right back on bread as i know its one of my weaknesses..thing is now, when i have a couple of toast i enjoy it soooo much more... if im plannig on having bread i tend to have it for brekkie/lunch then i feel like i have had my fix.... but i know it makes me bloat if i have too much..
Just the fact that you say you aren't waking up in the middle of the night beating yourslef up...is a great step...so keep up the good work..you are getting there..just keep focusing on every day as though its the only one that matters... we can't do anything about yesterday, or forsee what we will do tomorrow...but we can control what we do today..;)
As for the 2 pigs under a blanket... mine is bulldog chewing a caramel:p
Hope i haven't missed anyone... will catch up again later...will find another recipe
AMANDA.... hope everything is ok with you..:D
Keep up the good work everyone:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

I have been know to eat 2
I find that if I really want something if I have a little of it its usually enough! - not sure that applies to chocolate though!
so I just avoid that as its my real weakness.
Do what you love :happyhear0
