:rotfl: I'm already shaped like a t-bag, one of those pyramid ones.

I went to try one a bridesmaid dress yesterday, my friend is getting married next year. when I found a dress that fit my hips, it hung off me at the top.
It wasn't a case of needing 'chicken fillets' to make it fit, more like a turkey crown.

I've been good today foodwise, :j
    Readybrek
    Ham salad
Jacket potato, Cauliflower cheese and mashed carrot/swede/parsnip
A muller lite yogurt and an apple.

I went and tidied the garden a bit, will have to do the grass again though, as it was that long I had to strim it first.

I got the fright of my life though when i saw the most humongous spider, it was so big, I thought it was going to weave me into it's web and eat me....crikey, hope it was feeling hungry. It also had really strange markings on it's back.
Well I googled spiders when I got home and it's a 'garden spider' the females grow to 1cm....this was at least 2cm and that was only it's body...urghhhh.

But, I did let it live.

My first recipe/meal tip....if you are trying to cut down on the potatoes but still fancy a shepherds pie....then use mashed carrot/swede for the topping or even mix that in with the mashed potato. Ideal for gettng more veg into the kids and OHs and any SW folk also.

  • Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow MrsM :) and you're right not to worry. You've been doing really well, and you're poorly atm so give yourself a break. Well done Whata and everyone else too, keep going :)

I did have a bought sandwich for lunch - too tired with all the rushing around today to rustle anything else up. But did have loads of cherry tomatoes and a chopped up apple with it as well as a bag of crisps, also drank fruit juice with it instead of pepsi max. Have drank a goodly amount of water today. Just going to make supper - leftover cooked bacon from last nights dinner ( realised needed using up so didnt get cheesey bake out ) in 2 bridge rolls ( reduced at local co op, first white bread Ive eaten in two weeks ! ) with plenteous salad inc cucumber, cherry toms, beetroot, carrots, sweet onion, and pineapple !

Also very excited as Lakeland order came today - new 20cm saucepan HOORAY !!! 8" stainless steel cook knife, soap nuts ( which I will be trying out once the Ecover liquid runs out ) and a jarkey ( I have problems... LOL )

i have kept up with posts but havent posted for a while, well done everyone you are doing great :T :T

feel i need a bit of moral support at the mo, i havent gone off the rails but can feel myself slipping a bit, Have been trying to reduce the bread to just breakfast but all my meals today have involved yummy home made bread and it has to stop !! i know too much bread just doesnt do for me.

i really dont want to go downhill as its been great not waking up in the middle of the night feeling miserable about myself and vowing to start tomorrow!

havent weighed myself as i dont think i have lost much and that will make me downhearted and will give up.

you really are all doing fab and i am sure the support you are getting from each other MUST be a great boost to that.
i must stop the slippery slope, if you can all do it then i'm sure i can too!!

  • Vixtress, don't worry, I don't weigh myself as I would get stressed about it too. I know when I am losing weight due to shape changing, clothes fit differently and generally feel a lot better. One day of breadiness is not all that much of a slippery slope. Just try and keep in mind this is not going to be one of those diet diet diet, wow amazing results, then a little while later wham it all goes back again things... slow and steady, the old style way :)
