welcome dutchy, well done on all those half marathons, i live in newcastle and its the great north run today, im determined to do it one day though when is another matter.
mrs m your seedy bread comment made me laugh so youre not alone!
well i weighed in today 16st3, thats 1lb offreally pleased as this has not been a good week for healthy food, i ended up eating out 3 times:eek: 1 of which was planned the other 2 were accidents. honest i accidentally fell into pizza hut on monday
but im on track for my goal and i wont be eating out this week so hopefully that combined with going back to the gym this week should help me lose again this week. now i just need to get through today witout sabotaging myself, yep im in that group too, eat too much on weigh day then spend the rest of the week making up for it. I wont do it today.
Food:
Breakfast: 2 slices toast, 2 Scrambled eggs
Snack:1 yoghurt
Lunch: 1 cup a soup
Snack:1 apple
Tea:slow cooker casserole, plenty of veg and a bit of meat!
Snack: chicken sandwhich
Good luck all

Hi!
Frogga; my 38DD's are well tethered down with a Tesco sports bra (about a fiver, I think), so no excuses there!!
MRSMCAWBER; the thing is not to run straight away. Go for a walk, walk as fast as you are able to. After doing this a couple of times, think to yourself 'I'm just going to jog a bit, just to the next lamp post'. Then walk a bit more, then jog a bit to another landmark. Gradually the jogs will become longer and the walking bits shorter. Before you know it, you'll be running your first mile, honestly! You'll be amazed at how quickly you improve!!
I gave myself rewards at each goal achieved as well. For example, a nice bottle of wine after my first mile, a bottle of fizzy for mile three, a meal out at six miles. It really helps!
Good luck everyone!
DutchyToto, something tells me we're not in Kansas anymore......0 -
dutchy unfortunately much bigger than that and sports bras get expensive, my 38k bra cost me around £30 which i decided was a good investment as i use the gym but its a lot of money really, praying ill lose some cup size as i slim down, im sure they say breastfeeding is supposed to make them smaller, i was a g cup before my first child!0

Hi all :hello:
I joined frogga's challenge on the OS daily and was doing well until a couple of weeks ago. Seemed to have problems at home, work, family, etc. So fell off the wagon a little bit. However it is time for me to climb back on again and get a grip. So I'm hoping all you lovely people will give me the kick up the b*m that I need (in the nicest possible way of course). I have read the first 10 pages of the thread - will read the rest later once I have the "must do" jobs done. What a lovely bunch of "losers"
So, dinner today is rubber chicken with lots of broccoli and cauliflower (no cheese sauce of course) and mash for DS and DD and a baked potato for me. I made chicken stock with the carcass so will make a huge pot of soup too so that should cover a few lunches. Lunch will probably be chicken salad on wholemeal.
I find that if I drink lots of water I feel much better day-to-day. The only problem is that I forget to drink it when I am home! Can manage 2 litres at the office, no problem. So I think I will fill up a two litre bottle with water at home each day so that I know how much I have consumed.
Must go. Lots to do. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

I've decided to start over Monday morning, I am cutting back but I'm going to start again with the exercising. Originally I was walking about 7 miles a day but injured my ankle so couldn't go and as a result the weight hasn't been going at all so I'm planning on introducing sit-ups every other day as most of whats wrong with my belly is its very untoned, and add the walk back in, but only once a day for a week (so that will be about 3.5 miles ontop of housework & errands) then everyother day the following week I'll go twice and gradually build it back up to twice every week day and one shorter route of a weekend. Hopefully the weight should start to move againCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Well done one another loss Debtfree :T
Its amazing the obstacles we have to cope with when trying eat healthily isnt it??
What with choc bars that can talk
supermarket trolleys that will not go past the cake aisle without going down them (at least once;) )
pizzahut shops with faulty doors, so when you walk past -you fall through:D
the list is endless:rotfl: ...but we are all doing great anyway :j
Don't suppose anyone of us lovely ladies is a 50E are they.....you can PM if you would rather..only i ordered some clothes from Evans for my jollies in June and they made a big "boob" with the order :rotfl: ... i am big and have big boobs...and a back like a russian shot putter.... but 50E wasn't what i ordered.... so i have a brand new black bra(tag on i think) and a lovely white one with removeable straps.... both brand new if anyone can make use of em...NO NO you are not having them for carrying your shopping....appologies to anyone who is that well endowed:D ....
Hello anniebooklover
its not exactly "cheese sauce as we know it" but you know that low fat cream cheese you can get... if you put some in a dish, add a drop of milk and bash it..you can zap it briefly in the micro and it makes a nice light alternative....plus you can buy all the different flavoured ones..lovely on pasta too-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hi everyone - glad to hear that you are all still sounding really motivated!
Odds - I would like to do the shoebox thingie so could you send me the info too please? And how do you make barley risotto? I LOVE barley - better than rice or pasta, but I only ever have it in carrot and barley soup or scotch broth.
Mrs M - have you had the Gurkensalad in Germany? I love it and still make it now and even kids will eat it - you just peel a cucumber and then slice it really really thin on a mandolin thingie (or the slicing side on a grater if you have one), put it in a bowl and dress it with white wine vinegar mixed with a little sunflower oil, teaspoon or so of dill, salt and pepper and a pinch of sugar. You have to leave it for about an hour but it is really yummy. I also often make apfelmoehren salad - that is just equal quantities of grated carrots and eating apples mixed together with a handful of raisins if you want. No dressing. It is nice if you want something sweet - I eat it of an evening sometimes.
Frogga - hope your hair looks nice - I had mine done yesterday and it looked lovely but this morning it looks a right mess again - I always get terrible "bedhead":rotfl:
Marie - glad you enjoyed your meal - sounds lovely, as does the raspberry cheesecake - well done on just having one slice.
Redmel - good luck staying away from the scales. I was going to wait until a month was up but this morning I just couldn't resist a look..... It is one week since I started this properly and I had lost 5lbs - don't know if this is good or bad - I always want to lose LOADS in the first week, but overall I am pleased.
Dazi - you are really organised with the cous cous for work - I still haven't got today's meals sorted!
Dutchy - well done on your running - right now I would need an iron lung if I even walked three miles;)
Well done on your loss Debtfree!
Hope I haven't forgotten anyone but if I have I didn't mean to leave you out because EVERYONE on this thread is a great inspiration to me - honestly, I can't tell you all how much it means to know that there are other people with the same issues and love of food as me.
Still haven't sorted out what to eat today yet - was up till nearly 4am as DD1 (17 and VERY stroppy) was out and didn't come in until 3.30 (her curfew is midnight)and when she did she had had her bag pinched with all her stuff (money, bus pass, debit card) plus her address and house keys in:mad: Now I will have to go and get a new front door lock - She wasn't too bothered though because, as she said, she had been on her phone in the pub when the bag was pinched and at least her phone hadn't got pinched, which would have been a disaster of biblical proportions for her!
Have had a slice of grilled bacon (leftover on DD2's breakfast plate) so far today and just don't know what I fancy. I might make Mackerel (I get the Sainsburys BGTY mackerel in lemon crumb which is lovely) and salad pittas with lemon mayo (hellmanns extra light mayo, lemon juice and a little bit of heinz light salad cream) as they are nice and "comforting" and after last night's escapades waiting up for DD1 I need something nice.
Hope you all have a great Sunday!Jane
