Morning all :j
Well frogga...i'm off 10pin bowling later too:p ... me, hubby and a couple we have got to know since we got here..... have even shoved my bowling shoes through the washer :A ..can't..sorry won't wear socks...ever... so they weren't very nice.its only them that smell... hopefully will burn a few more cals.. and we will have a laugh either way....
Had Hm chilli n rice for lunch - hubby loves it, i don't have it very often... so i only had a bit, and put plenty of frozen peas with the rice to bulk it out and cool it down for me...so now hubby won't want to eat in the bowling alley;) .. the food here is great, but the portions huge and even sharing one between us would be to much....plus im being OS :rotfl:
Decided on Hm savoury meat pie, nobbies, carrots, swede, cabbage n broccoli for dinner tonight oh and a couple of new potatoes with hubbies..
hubby will be golfing in the morning..so i think im gonna get busy in the kitchen.... he usually get home and it looks like a soup kitchen:rotfl:
Planning on making:-- more sausages, 1 lot of pork n herb and 1 lot-that i can't decide on yet:rotfl:
- some meatballs
- a new loaf of bread ( that will be sliced n frozen ASAP:p )
- a shepherds pie
- and some ham, potato n cheese slices - using some of the whoopsied mozzarella i got....
recovering spendaholic...I love cooking... i went to catering college and qualified as a chef when i was 18.. but never went into it as a job... work experience put me off.... i went into the service side of things - and soon realised that the whole catering trade was "the devils own job".... so now i just inflict my cooking on family n friends:rotfl: .... i find that because i know that i am having a piece of pie etc for dinner.. i don't crave it..and can be satisfied with a small piece... and on top of that everything gets portioned and individually frozen as soon as poss and then put in the freezer in the cold room down the cellar... no chance of ambling past the fridge/frezer in the kitchen and being tempted;) .....so far :rotfl:
Well i hope everyone has a good day..... i will catch up with the days events when i get back...
Keep up the good work everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Thanks Debtfree and Frogga -I ended up having two slices of toast (from a medium sliced loaf so not too bad;) ), a low fat cheese slice and a boiled egg for breakfast. It could have been so much worse and the desire to binge has passed off now - in fact I feel quite full and have made a start on the house cleaning. I know what you mean about keeping the place clean frogga - I do the kitchen twice a day - all surfaces, cooker, microwave, cupboard doors etc and won't go up to bed if the living room isn't tidy. I am not so bad with the bedrooms - which is no bad thing as DD1 keeps her room like a tip!
Going to the hairdressers for 12 - it's funny but no matter how fat I am I always do my hair and make up - I spend way to much on it but I think I don't want to be a "tatty fatty" as My Mum used to say (Can you see where I got my issues from?:rotfl: )
DD's are up and High School Musical is on. Again.Jane

Hello all,
Well yesterday started really well and until I got home I was feeling great. Then OH declared that he wanted to go out for tea to an American type steakhouse. Now considering 99.9% of the food I eat is veggie, its not my ideal place as I can only really get a veggie burger or a plain salad.
But seeing as OH has done so much DIY this week I felt bad saying no.
Had my veggie burger, left the chips and half the coleslaw then ate a small handful of cashew nuts later. Now I know all this stuff about 'as long as 80% of the time you restrict calories you can cope with the other 20% of off days' but I just felt a bit down.
This morning though I got up and have lost another 2lb so my guilt has subsided and I am back on track with a toasted Food Doc seed bagel (only 200 cals) and they tatse great.
Have a great weekend everyone0 -

Hi all,
Sillyvixen...I think that the hernia is probably not too difficult to put right...means that there is a weakness in scar line (I think)...do what they tell you but keep eating properly as a stone in a month is a great achievement.
Before I forget...MrsMCawber....what are nobbies????
Feeling really cold this morning and sneezing and coughing for Ireland!
Breakfast: 1oz sugar free muesli, 1oz dried cranberries, glass juice.
Lunch: sandwich on brown batch...cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onion, cup white coffee.
Dinner: DD3 has announced that she is taking us out for dinner...not sure where but will be careful
Snacks...apple, pear, banana, home made veg soup if I need warming up!
Not sure when I am going to weigh....probably wait until I come home from Sardinia, rarely put on weight there as I walk a lot which makes up for the extra booze and pasta.
Enjoy your weekend and congratulations to all who are losing weight

Hello All - Frogga I think I have some insight - the last time I lost a lot of weight was errr about 20 years ago. I can remember so clearly standing in the kitchen and thinking 'I wonder how long it woud take to put it all back on'.......and of course I went & did just that. I don't understand why I did it either. Their was an article in the Mail this week about folk who had lost a lot of weight and then put it (& some) back on. I think maybe its because if you think you are on a 'diet' you think it has a timespan so after you can return to 'normal'. Also I do so agree with the thing of just not allowing yourself to be happy. When I was slim I was single and to be honest I couldnt handle it. Men who I knew before as friends were suddenly very different (& women but thats a whole other story). Maybe the fat is a safety blanket or something? Mx0
