well done all you losers :j

i went out for a curry last night, hardly healthy but i didnt eat as much as i would have done normally.

will be doing a load of cooking today, have a glut of veg so will be making a big pan of chicken stew this morning :D will do a roast for dinner and then somthing with the LO veg and chicken.

totally random but i got the most fantastic, bright purple cauliflower in my veggie box last night!! how cool is that!!

despite the curry last night, i m still positive and dont feel to have 'dropped off the wagon' i havent woken up during night feeling bad about myself for over a week. thats got to be worth it in itself!!

whats everyone else up to this weekend??
    have a good one,

I normally REALLY struggle just before weigh day. Sort of sabotage my efforts ~ OMG I am such a nutcase, hadn't realise just how bad I am until I started writing it down!)

I do this too - a reason why despite going to WW or SW for what seems like years I'm still obese!! Any ideas why you sabotage your diet? I've tried to analyse it but I still can't come up with a good reason  I want to lose weight, but the minute I do I start binging. I'm going to weigh myself on the 1st October and do a monthly weigh-in too, to try and avoid the sabotage

Hope everyone has a healthy weekend :j

    Hi KJ

I don't really know why I do it. All the experts say it's something about "not allowing" myself to be happy? That I don't think I'm worth of being happy so I stop it happening? Sounds like a load of old tripe doesn't it?:rotfl:

Perhaps it's pressure or something! I really try to stop analising everything I do nowadays , because after years of therapy it hasn't helped!:rotfl:

I know I'm a nutcase. Mr Frog knows I'm a nutcase and we can both live quite hapily with it!:rotfl: I do have LOTS of "odd" things I do as well. Like keeping the pad absolutly spotless. If I go to work and I haven't done EVERYTHING it upsets me all day! I hoover the house all through inc. upstairs every morning, and then whizz round the bottom after tea again. Other people think it's mad , but like Mr Frog says , it doesn't bother me and it doesn't bother him so who cares? I'm trying to remember what the analyst said about that , em , something about "trying to be too perfect" he told me I had to not hoover all week! What a mess!!!! Ignored him!:rotfl:

Anyway this time I'm not going to binge and sabotage myself!!! And all the cleaning keeps me fit!!

well done tap lady not only a good loss but a marker point too

well were having homemade pizza for lunch today, its scone based and very filling so you can only eat a couple of pieces. it was in a magazine, so if its allowed and anyone wants me too ill post the recipe. we allways do on a saturday and then me and the girls have a lunch type meal at tea time so soup for me and probably a sandwhich for sophie and whatever ive got in the freezer for ellen. might let her have some of the pizza as finger food as shes 6 months now so the ingredients are officially fine and i know its not full of junk, shes getting keen on finger food. anyway that was a bit of a tangent, good luck to all today
  • Hi Everyone - I think you and I must have had the same therapist Frogga:rotfl: I have always tended to binge on weigh days, which is why I am thinking that once a month may be a better idea. Having said that, I have woken up this morning and want to everything in sight. I usually have 3 ryvitas for breakfast with either low fat cheese slice or extra light philadelphia, but this morning I have had a slice of toast with a cheese slice on - not alot, but I am really antsy and wanting to eat stuff - I hate this and I know it is to do with exOH's aunt's visit this afternoon. I really should just tell her to f*** off as she has never been anything but horrible, but I am not the most assertive of people.

I am going to have leftover turkey fillets with sprouts for lunch, and don't know what to have for tea yet - I have got all kinds of stuff I can make but just can't decide. I haven't had chilli for ages so might give that a go, but am not sure it would go with the cabbage instead of rice thing - has anyone got any other suggestions?

Kayjay - I don't know why we sabotabe our efforts the way we do, but I have an idea that it is subconsciously we know that if we lose the weight then we can't blame everything on us being fat - I always think to myself "oh if I was thin then I wouldn't be fed up or whatever" but in reality the same cr*p would still be happening - I'm not explaining this very well am I?
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Right RS ~ now it's time for a team talk me thinks!

    You have two choices.

    1. You come back on here tonight after the aunt has left feeling lower than low and after having stuffed, which will probably carry on tomorrow.

    2. You come back on here tonight after the aunt has left feeling on top of things because you did not let her get to you. You'll put up with anything that she throws at you because you CAN COPE with this. And you wont binge.

I suggest you do no.2 .That feeling will be enpowering not only to you , but to the rest of us who are struggling too. This is just one of those little tests that will come our way and you WILL PASS IT!

I will come back on here tonight and I know what I want you to report. YOu can do this RS xxx

  • RS i hope that this afternoon goes well try not to let her get to you, as for the eating ive been told often that eating a big breakfast then little and often during the day helps you burn food better and stabilise your mood as your getting constant energy not highs and lows. plus youre not eating a big meal before bed and then expecting your body to burn it off over night. when i look at my days plan it looks like lots of food but really it isnt but it keeps me satisfied all day which is the key i think.

    this is todays
    Breakfast: porridge
    Snack:1 yoghurt
    Lunch: homemade pizza
    Snack:1 apple
    Tea:soup
    Evening Snack:chicken sandwhich

hope something ive said helps today and maybe if you knew you were allowed food often you wouldnt want to binge, its been working for me

    good luck

    Morning all,
Haven't been on for a couple of days. Frogga, you sound a awful lot like me. There's a book called don't sweat the small stuff, and for a week after reading it I was more normal, it's okay, it's passed now though! Brill book though. It was your comment about having a clean place - I make lists and include stuff that I've actually already done, just so I can cross it from the list!! But with a food diary it's the other way round, there's stuff there that doesn't make the list at all...
Still doing well, but I'm beginning to think that a weekly weigh in is far too often. It doesn't alow for a little treat mid way through, so if I do indulge, then I get to hate myself for it, coz weigh is never more than a few days away. But if it's a longer time away, would I be too lax..don't know. Will have to have a think about that one.
    Have a great weekend all.
    xx
