:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: he has got to be one of the sweetest brothers. Way beyond the call of duty.

    :D
They haven't started yet as Tadpole 2 has lost the little blue man that Tadpole 1 bought him for Christmas so there's tears at the mo while they both turn the room upside down looking for it! Me thinks it went in the bin after the Christmas clean up. Mr Frog spoke to him on the phone and said he would buy him another one ( it was only 25p:rolleyes: ) , but he wants the one that H bought. Sometimes l;ife would be easier if they didn't get on

Frogga is right -you are rude..but very funny:D you should see sean pertwee in the army combat uniform   .... an he has a lovely voice too all gravely..he does loads of voice overs so you have probably heard him mmmm

I think i know the x stitch you mean, is it the one with a "cute" baby? or the more "realistic" looking one?
I generally work on even weave or linen as i find it much easier, but at the moment im working on 18count aida as every single square is covered so you won't see any of it - so, being frugal i decided to use the fabric in the kit.. im doing this one for my mum

    http://www.theangelsnook.com/IN-HER-GARDEN--Counted-Cross-Stitch-Kit_p_78-197.html

all the background is done in mainly 1/2 cross stitch but there is a fair bit of blending colours -4 in 1 needle at some points

i have made not too bad a start, im doing all the figure first then will fill in the background...

Still its keeping all our fingers out of the fridge :D

MrsM, my eyes are crossing just looking at that design, will be gorgeous when it's finished though. Hope your mum is very appreciative of it. I love giving cross stitches to other stitchers as they totally appreciate the effort!

The baby in my picture is very very cute, just like a newborn. Some of the other baby pictures scare me, I think the designers must know some mutants lol

Have to agree with you about Sean Pertwee MrsM - he's a bit of a dish

Just had squash, chickpea and spinach curry with pilau rice - scrummy
Still feeling rubbish with this cold but OH actually offered to pick me up from the station tonight - he's trying :rotfl: so trying :rotfl:

I might try and do without any biscuits tonight, I might have a hot chocolate drink instead...... I had a bag of mini cheddars this afternoon - OOPS!

    See you tomorrow ladies :A

    Hi All from sunny Spain.

We are finally back in our apartment and I just whisked up a couple of bacon and onion omelettes thanks to our kind neighbours who had left a bag tucked under the windscreen wipers containing six eggs, some cherry tomatoes and two yoghurts. Aren't people kind!

I've had a good day foodwise with just 2 cokes whilst we were travelling on the downside. It is so annoying now you can't take any food or drink through security so have to pay the rip off prices on the other side. Breakfast was the usual muesli and raisins with skimmed milk whilst lunch was chicken sandwiches, eaten on the way to the airport.

We had a great journey back (flew into Gibraltar) with no queues at check in or security to cope with at either end. It's great to be back in balmy temperatures again and not needing to put the heating on.

Thanks for the good wishes re son's engagement. I am already feeling excited about the wedding and more determined than ever to lose that annoying extra 2 and 1/2 stones.

I've managed to lose 2lbs this week so have made a reasonable start if not as good as I'd hoped.

    See you all tomorrow,

at the moment..its huge.. but stunning, me, hubby and brother got it her for mothers day a few years ago and she has worked her way through her other kits to get to it... we are both guilty of having quite a few kits to do :o

RoseWood :T on your weight loss, and on DS engagement. Glad you made it there ok... all that lovely warmth..salads won't seem quite such a struggle i bet... you will be dropping lbs all over the place ;)

off to do more x stitching :p whilst watching "pitch Black" later.... don't go to bed until the early hour when hubby isn't in -its easier to wait until im pooped then i just drop off
will pop back later folks :D

Well an okay day for me today. changed lunch and had mushroom sandwiches instead of homemade bread and cheese as I foiund a half pack of mushrooms in the fridge whilst putting away the few bits I got today. Polished of the last of some M&S special biscuits that were left in the tin (4 of them so thats them gone). Not much left now in the way of post xmas goodies - have been having the odd one or two bits each day.

    Plan for tomorrow is:
    Breakfast: Fruit and Fibre
    Snack: satsuma
    lunch: Homemade bread and cheese
snack: couple of biscuits (just a few of the tesco cookies left)
Dinner: roast chicken, potatoes and veg

had a busy day doing housework so hoping I burnt of the few wee biscuits I had. Tomorrow its catching up on the ironing so just arm muscles getting a workout:rotfl:

    have a good day all
