Hi all,
Enjoyed reading all the stories. Here's mine (just for frogga and those that are of a nosey disposition)... 34 year old step mum. Always been a little on the "chubby" or "well-fed" side as a child. Mum used to warn me to watch out as I would always have seconds if there was extra pudding going
Left school and just lost a load of weight from working and walking to and from work. Put some on, lost some through various diets etc, put it on again etc etc. So since 18 years old have ranged from 8 stone (not healthy for my height and frame) to erm the heaviest weight that made me re think last year - 1 lb short of 12 stone and a size 16 (but heading upwards) - and 1½ stone heavier than the previous year when I got married due to baking too many cakes!!!
Wedding anniversary and shopping for a new outfitmade me extremely depressed and had a wardrobe full of clothes that didn't fit (or didn't fit nicely in any case).
So on 1 July, boosted by OH's decision to eat healthily and tone up, started being much more selective on food choice
Back to pre-wedding weight but still got a bit more to go (as I wasn't that slim on my wedding day :rotfl:).
Anyway, enough of the waffle, you're all bored now.
Breakfast was porridge with stewed apples
Lunch was left over bacon and leek pasta
Tea will be chicken curry (in slow cooker)
Snacks are apples  Or maybe clemantines if Aldi has some nice ones after I go in a minute
And my after dinner sweet treat in the evening is an Options hot choc - works to keep the munchies away (mostly) as my brain seems to think there should be something sweet to finish a meal and won't kick the habitworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Dawny - bet theres a fair few of us uttered that line over the years. If my DH had a £ for each time I've yelled it.
We're all in the same boat, some dealing with depression while trying to struggle withtheir weight, which must make it so much harder, and others with different worries.
Look at Cheap date - she's in the honeymoon period with her BM and we all know what dangerous territory thatcan be.
I'll bet Dumpling is thinking the same as me as I settle down to my cross- stitch too this afternoon, "this should keep my hands busy and my mind off the fridge."
I tell you, dawny, real self loathing sets in when you buy your kids a chelsea bun each (not myself mind, because I was on a diet!) and start 'unraveling' them a bit at a time on the way home, rationalizing that the kids will never notice a bit off, until its so obvious that you've been at them you have to eat the lot. I really hated myself that day, as I was too worn out to walk back to town and replace them. Arghhh the things I've done in the past. Still, tis history.
Had 2 weetabix for breakfast. DS2 and I had a hot choc, with cream, and a rainbow bun for 11's. Shocker, aren't I?
Boiled egg and wholemeal fingers for lunch
Smoked mackerel, new pots, steamed veg for tea.
All my housework done today  I've nearly killed myself doing it, but I'm having an afternoon with the dvd, DS2 and my cross stitch. I'm doing this fabulous one by dimensions called frederick the literate, that I got off ebay US for half the price I could get it in UK. It's beautiful and so much fun.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Oh dear, I have only lost 1 pound this week.
Still, I suppose I have not done much inthe way of exercise (due to nasty lergy), and have eaten a bit more than I should have (including a chip shop tea!).
It has not been a good weekend: our central heating broke down on Friday night...still can't get a hold of engineer.... I scalded my hand on Saturday and broke one of my crowns on Sunday!
I have managed to get a temporary crown fitted this morning, but can't get this bl***y engineer to answer his phone!
To crown (!) it all, the school has just rung, ans DS2 has injured himself in PE during warming up too! He had a poor term before Christmas, health-wise, and this was going to be a new start...aaaargh!
Oh well, I am finishing off my bacon butty (last bit lurking in back of fridge...and sooo warming!), before zooming off the 12 miles to to pick him up, I could really do with the school being closer!
Oh well, it can only get better from now on.
Perhaps we are getting all this bad luck to counteract the fantastic news of DS1's Cambridge Uni offer last week!
Must redo my signature to reflect small weight loss...some time!
