Hi all, and welcome newbies!
Not posting what I have eaten today as there are too many chocs and pieces of Christmas pudding involved! Gave DD2 box of chocs that a friend brought last night...and then DD4 gave me a box of Butlers as she didn't like them....is nobody on my side????
Frogga...I sincerely hope that this childishness about the top spot on each page is going the same way as overeating on Tuesday...if not I may have to seriously consider getting someone to go and thump you...can't afford the trip myself....are you anywhere on the route from Holyhead to Dover, I could send DDIL on Thursday....she only weighs about 44k but don't let that fool you...may even send DGD2 with her, which will really get you! Just be a good girl please!
Wish that all the b***dy cake, sweets, pudding were gone as I am fighting a losing battle at the moment...maybe I could freeze them if I had room in the freezers.
Night all, talk tomorrow

Evening everyone
I can't believe someone beat frogga to top spot.... you are very brave.... people have been shot for less lol
Just got back from brothers -had a lovely time , they had a table full of food as always....
I had 1/2 a scotch egg that niece had made, a bit of salad, some home boiled ham, and a bit of HM potato salad - oh and a small serving of triffle -made by my niece...and not just any triffle -she made choc orange triffle -and very yummy it was too....
i also had a small baileys and a small glass of white wine ..before reverting back to my diet coke.... so all in all im happy enough with myself, and don't feel like i have gone without... but i don't think i could have eaten anything else...even though the table was heaving lol
We aren't going out tomorrow as we are starting out journey back on new years day.. so we will be staying in, but brother, SIL and niece are coming over....so "snacky" food will be out again... but i now know i can control it..
It was nice today as everyone was commenting on how much weight i had lost...yippeeee... even though i have another 6-7 st to go lol..... its unlikely that we will be coming back to the UK in the next 6 months or so, so im hoping to shift plenty more before then...fingers crossed
well folks i will get of and get into my jigglypamas and make a cuppa and then im off to bed... hope everyone is well

Hello newbies and oldbies!!
I'm actually at home for a whole evening/night without stuff to do today! Been up to my dads this weekend and was thinking I'd been really bad foodwise but working out what I've had I realised I've been pretty good (apart from the huge piece of gooey middle chocolate pudding and extra thick cream on friday night) I will definetly be back on the wagon next week once I get back from the friends I'm going to for new years. Shouldn't be too bad down there apart from the drinking!
Thinking about digging up the nettle patch behind our garden fence and making it into a veggie patch. The rest of the row all have flowers and things there but mum likes to keep the nettles for the butterflys. So I'm thinking if I put some butterfly friendly plants out there as well we'll have the best of both worlds. We grew our own potatoes last year in a tub and they were lovely. My herb pot sort of wilted tho, gonna have to start that again as it was useful.
Anyhoo, I'm rambling on. If I don't make it on again before next year I hope everyone has a lovely new year and look forward to weighing down the wagon with you all next year :rotfl:I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -
Evening meanmarie....
I know what you mean about all the sweet stuff.... I never get chocs etc... this year i have had 2 boxes and a box of biscuits... so tomorrow those and some my mum has been given are going with me when i go with my sis when we take her for her chemo..
i know it seems ungrateful but i figure the nurses will be able to put them to better use than me keeping them and shoving them down my gullet :-)
Only a few more days and then it should all be gone... and by then you will probably be glad of some plain simple food....and you will be right back on track...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Hey, look what happens when you stop trying! A week in Germany over Christmas - no way was I going to deliberately avoid food! Anyway, have just realised I'm 4 lbs lighter! Only thing different was main meals were at lunchtime....could that make a difference?????
Also, being in someone else's house, I didn't pick at sweets/chocolate between meals - but I was never hungry! Maybe I should go away more often!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
Well done beemuzed
Its amazing isn't it - when you finally stop thinking of food all the time and have lots of things to keep you occupied.. and 4lbs drop off :-)
Give yourself a pat on the back.... hope you enjoyed it in Germany... i will be heading back there tommorrow...perhaps i should set up a weightloss camp.. folks can come and stay for a week at a time and see if it works lol
A lot of people swear by eating a good breakfast, lunch and a smaller evening meal - so perhaps its part of what helped... but whatever the reason... WELL DONE... it would have been sooo easy to eat extras -just because you were on holiday and surrounded by lots of different foods..
Hope it has given you a lovely boost for the new year :-)-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Just thought I'd fess up and start the day with a clear conscience. :A
Last night DH & I got through a tub of Pringles (with 35% extra free to make it worse!) 6 bags of crisps, the remains of the Baileys and a bottle of wine.

Good morning OS Slimmers!
Today I am up for a challenge, going to central London to get my son a new electric guitar (he is paying half and we are going to Denmark Street where they have good second hand bargains!), but a day in town with son always ends up in a Chinese restaurant, it is a traditional treat and I don't want to break it (nothing like a good excuse).
So I had porridge with toasted seeds and a minute amount of maple syrup for breakfast to be well saddled with food during the morning and for lunch I am determined that I shall only have boiled rice (as opposite to fried with all the bits inside) and vegetables, perhaps some tofu! Wish me luck!
But this is not all:
Tonight, to celebrate a family moment before the teens go off to do their own debauchery for New Year we are going to have an Indian meal at the local curry house. Determined to order boiled instead of pilau rice, no Nan for me but prob. tarka dal (lentils) and sag (spinach). That's it, if I can do it without the brinjal (aubergine) I can do anything!
Also, no pudding WHATSOEVER not even kulfi!
I have already told the family that January is going to be the month of make-do, I shall only buy fresh veg and any cheese/bread for the kids (me and DH hardly eat any wheat bread and I have loads of rye in the freezer already).
I am going to do a lot of cupboard shopping and Mr Sainsbury will send me 'wish you were here' cards!
Have a lovely day everybody, and even a lovelier evening and party away, 2008 is only round the corner!
Love to all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
