Lol, taplady its christmas. You're allowed to be naughty!

My beef stroganoff was yummy. Used natural yogurt instead of cream in the end. Served it with rice and pitta bread. And theres even a little tiny bit left for my lunch tomorrow.

Just waiting for my polar bears to finish baking and then I'm off to bed in my nice clean room. Got a bit carried away with my tidying earlier and had a mega clear up! Wonder how long I'll manage to keep it that way this time :rotfl:

Keiss...you poor thing! Good side is that these things allegedly happen in threes...so you've had your three which should see you safely through the holiday season!

Glad you have arrived safely MrsMC...good night's sleep and you'll be raring to go!

RS...congrats on the weight loss...a loss is a loss is a loss, never mind that 10 lbs of it might be fluid retention.

Poor Frogga...unhappy to have been knocked off your perch at top of page are you? Three in a row should be enough for one week!

Taplady..not a terrible day really was it, you participated but didn't overdo it...well done!

Rockie...hope that you made the call and can now relax.

Going to have some bread and cheese now as I have been good all day but am starving (yeah, right!) now.

    Sleep well

    Morning All,

So glad you arrived safe and sound MrsM :T

Feeling a bit odd today as My Dad is comming round at Lunch time. We were VERY close when I was a kid but when he left us everything changed. I always feel really upset when I see him, even though it's now 20 years on. Daft I know. I wish I could make everything alright but I know it can't be. There is an unspoken hurt between us and it feels like a really big heavy overcoat.

Will put on my biggest smile and try to make him feel better though :D Am making him some mince pies, hob nobs and buns this morning as a Christmas pressy so better get off.

    See ya xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I sooooooo want to order a Panasonic breadmaker off of Amazon - the SD254 thingie for £39.99 but I am just not sure if:
    a) I will just let it gather dust or
    b) I will make loads of really yummy bread and never stop eating it
The amazon offer is now £49.99. I must admit I ordered it on Friday and it arrived yesterday! I whacked a wholemeal loaf on straight away. OH's parents have one and use it ALL the time. I wanted one because
    • less chemicals if I make it myself
    • bread is so expensive, esp seeded loaves and its cheaper to make your own
    • majority of nice breads come in thick slices which is more fattening and I can control the size of my slices
    • it makes smaller loaves and we always end up throwing away bits of large loaves
    • The flavour possibilities are endless
    • HM bread tastes infinetely better
Well, yesterday I went off the rails a bit. I'm back in work so its a lot harder to post. Went out for dinner with a friend and ended up sharing garlic bread and then a spicy meat pasta. I had 2 glasses of wine and a gin and slim.

I don't start work til 1.30pm but I'm up and ready for a spin class to burn it all off. I was told by the instructor that it was pointless me doing spin as it was too high energy and didn't focus on fat burning, but I enjoy it and something is better than nothing.

I've been really poor with menu planning and haven't decided what I'm having for lunch or tea, which is REALLY bad esp when I'm going to be in work all day and there is the lure of cheap NHS bread and butter for toasting.

I was good last night, bag of snackajacks during the evening but nothing else, I was attacked by a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie before I left work though :o still, it's Christmas :xmassmile
