JoeyEmma,
We have two adjacent bathrooms with a scales in each...one weighs half a stone lighter than the other and I am often tempted to use both to get some positive results! Level is very important for accuracy, so I agree that you should ignore the 2 lbs!
Hope that the frost hasn't delayed MrsMC's departure, very heavy here this morning and I was very nonMSE and started the car 10 minutes before I left to take DGS2 to school...roads ok though as they were dry.
Had a clementine, latte ( from a packet) and pancake for breakfast, soup for lunch I think and stir-fried steak with rice for dinner.
Frogga...when you make the pies hide them quickly from that person who ate the last lot!
Good luck to all

Evening all,
Rockie...have you met this 'rellie' before? No contact since they arrived in UK? If so I would call back and say that you are sorry but that you are unable to provide accommodation and would prefer that he sticks with original plan of dinner on 26th...no need to explain to someone you haven't met why you can't have them to stay...if he has made arrangements to stay at his own expense somewhere near you then I suppose you are stuck with him for the two days
Marie
I've met him twice! Can't say I liked him but I never got on with his dad either AND he has BO!!!
I've been worrying all weekend but have decided that I'm going to tell him straight that the invitation is for a meal on Boxing Day and not accomodation. I might be very rude and email him about it as the only number I have for him is a mobile.
Anyway, Morning ladies :snow_laug
Didn't do badly yesterday although I was attacked by 2 mince pies  OH had made some so it would have been rude to refuse them :rotfl:
It's FREEZING here today, they think 'cos there are no students in they can turn the heating down ......
Had toast and marmalade for brekkie, got salad  with avocado for lunch followed by fruit (I might have to go and get a soup) and not sure for tea, I'll decide when I get in but it will be hot!!!!
I had an extra 20 min walk this morning as I missed the little free bus and walking was preferable to a 10min wait for the next one!
Back later ladies :A0 -
Hello everyone - hope you are all not too cold - it is FREEZING here! We went over into Cheshire on Saturday to a breakfast with Father Christmas and I have never been so cold!
The no-diet diet is going okay still and I weighed myself yesterday and am down by 1 stone 9lbs since my heaviest about 5 weeks ago. I find that I am not bingeing (but I don't want to talk too soon.....) and am getting fuller quicker. I am not excluding any particular food, just having less of it and so far so good.
I am going to see the gynaecologist tomorrow about my horrendous TOTM and am really nervous about it which is also making it more difficult to eat. I am so worried - I always get so panicky if anything is wrong as I get so embarassed about my size.
Mrs M - I know that you are now en route and so won't read this but those baskets are AMAZING I am so in awe - I just haven't the patience to do that, much as though I would want too.
I sooooooo want to order a Panasonic breadmaker off of Amazon - the SD254 thingie for £39.99 but I am just not sure if:
a) I will just let it gather dust or
b) I will make loads of really yummy bread and never stop eating it
What do you all think? We do use alot of bread for packed lunches and toast at breakfasttime - the kids won't eat cereal and DD1 and boyfriend eat masses toast every time he comes round.
Hope you are all okay.Jane

RS - Sounds like the bread maker would pay for itself pretty quickly if you get through that much bread in your house. I want to get one but mum refuses to have anything else in the kitchen as theres no room left!
Its uber cold here and looks like it could snow soon. Going to curl up with some soup in front of neighbours in a minute and get warmed up. Just got a call from the hospital to say grandma is getting discharged today which is great as we really didn't want her to spend her bday and christmas in the hospital :T Hopefully mum will be a bit less stressed now and heads will be bitten off on a less regular basis :rotfl:
Quick question. I was going to make beef stroganoff for tea tonight with the left over roast from yesterday but I don't have any cream. Do you reckon I could get away with using milk instead? The sauce should be thick enough anyway cos I'm going to use the left over gravy in it.
Our cat has just caught on to the fact that the christmas tree is up and is now happily sitting under it batting around the decorations. Wish she'd go and bat around the new neighbours yappy jack russell :rotfl:I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -

Alibow - just put a little bit of cornflour with the milk if it isn't thick enough and it should be okay.Jane

Hya folks
Well, weighed in this morning, stayed the same. I suppose that's pretty good considering that I have gained weight the past two weeks. :eek:I think I could well be walking alongside the wagon for the next week or two, but come Jan 1st, I will be back on with Mr W Power beside me...I think he has taken most of December off., hope he returns soon!
Not sure how this next week is going to go, as I was out for lunch today (packed affair at College Staff development Day, water, fruit and "healthy" sandwich), then it's back to College tomorrow for the Christmas lunch...aargh! Here's hoping it will be a buffet affair (has been in the past), so I can try and be good..ish.
We have our own centre staff lunch on Thursday at a local pub, can't remember what I ordered, so it could be good, or not! I will try and not binge, but I plan to have a good time at these meals out, I could well be driving both days, so I won't be drinking...that's a few calories saved!
I got my washing machine mended on Friday:j, after breaking down on Saturday . The bushes on the motor needed replacing...£70 in all, and the chap was here for 45 minutes. Still it is much cheaper than buying a new machine! :T:T
Mrs M your hampers are amazing!
I had a bit of a accident-prone weekend. I fell..or should I say slid off a chair while trying to put up some Xmas lights in the conservatory on Saturday morning . I landed on a bit of on-end shelving waiting to be used. So I am stiff, sore and bruised still ( especially my stomach which is a now multi-coloured blues and purples!). It left me feeling rather shaken and queasy for the rest of the day, so I couldn't ice the mini Xmas cakes I had to decorate. I had to ice one on Sunday morning though as I was giving one to my BIL, as DSis et al came Sunday for roast lunch. Still it looked good, clear cellophane really smartens pressies up!
So now I have 7 more to do, but I won't do them tonight, as I sliced the top of my middle finger (left hand, but I am left-handed!) while washing up yesterday...it has problems stopping bleeding at the moment, and I am running out of plasters! Then today, when shopping after College, I held the parking ticket in my mouth, and when I took it out, it took a large layer of skin from the inside of my top lip....aaaaargh! So nothing very major, but enough to make me a bit down tonight. I think I will rest, and then go and do some ironing...assuming the bleeding stops again!
So food today:
Breakfast: Special K, dried berries, Soya milk and OJ
Lunch: Tuna & cucumber sandwich, apple and water (cereal bar later)
Tea: Left-over lamb & veg heated up with gravy...yummy!
Must stop and catch up with the mountain of washing...
Well done everyone who has managed to loose :T...extra hard at this time of year!
Will pop in later this week to let you know how all the meals out went.
