Morning all!
Hopped on the scales this morning and guess what?!? 4lb's off! Yay!
Today we have a chimney sweep coming to test out flue and see if we can fit in an old fashioned wood burning fire. Fingers crossed!
Todays food is going to be
B- sultana bran with skimmed milk
L- Butternut squash soup (its scrummy, I need to pack myself on the back for being an excellent cook!)
T- Not sure, family are over so probably going to go out. I'm championing Indian (can have a mized grill and salad) or Nando's.
Yay! 4lb off! Its a new beginning of healthy me. Going to the gym, eating well, losing weight and avoiding taking blood pressure tablets!0 -
Pigpen Can I come round to yours for munchies?! Pink fudge sounds scrummy. What is it?

BTW, do you have any chutney to go with the cold meat? Chutney makes cold meat perfect. I've finished last years batch and am waiting for this years to mature (I made it in Oct) and am chutney-less. My life is incomplete!
More good news- the chimney sweep came and has sorted out the fire so we can install a wood burning one. He's lifted up the hearth and found the original hearth, which is glazed Victorian tiles in browns, green and red. The green tiles have yellow raised flowers on. Unfortunately some of the raised bits are scuffed, the odd one is cracked and some of them appear to be hidden under a wall. It might take some hard work and might not even by do-able, but its worth a try!0 -
hello everyone - just a quick post. Weighed myself this morning and I seem to have lost another 4lbs, but that is probably mostly fluid as I have just had my TOTM and I always seem to put on fluid before then. Anyway, still perservering with the no-diet diet (IYKWIM) - I haven't binged for over 10 days now, which is a long time for me. I dropped DD1 off at college at lunchtime and I was proper starving and ended up at the drive in McDonalds but I just had a chicken wrap and a festive pie:o - BUT that would have normally set off a binge of gargantuan proportions and today I just had that and then came home and made myself a cup of coffee and wrapped some Christmas presents. So I reckon that my lunch would have been no more than about 1000 calories and I hadn't had any breakfast so I should be able to have meat and veg or salad tonight for tea and keep within a sensible limit. Still feels like I am in a war zone with DD1 but at least she has gone into college today.
Hope you all had a great weekend!Jane
