    Silly question, but do people post meal plans on here. I'm intrigued to see what others cook for the week, and would be interested in seeing what diets people are following, eg SW, WW , GI or just general low fat. I am totally lacking in any inspiration for my menu planning, and have looked at the meal plan thread and its full of fattening food!

    On the plus side, I did an hour at the gym. Since quitting smoking I can run LOADS longer, however my heart rate goes up far too fast as I am so unfit.

    Food wise has been very good today
    B- Porridge with skimmed milk and water
    L- Wholemeal pasta with tinned tomatoes and a big squirt of some garlicky chilli sauce I found in the Chinese supermarket and cheese
    T- Chips cooked S/W style, with beans and an egg fried in Fry Light.
    Snacks- 2 satsumas and I might have a Muller rice later on.

    The people on slimming world/weightwatchers are to be found on the other weightloss threads (in the I wanna board and the arms.) This one is specifically for people who don't follow weightloss club diets and who want to eat healthy scratch cooking. Meal planners would be a good idea if anyone wants to post them.
    May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

    I do 90% of my cooking from scratch, but I had noticed that some people on here still seem to go to diet clubs!

    Anyway, menu plans...
    Breakfasts- Porridge and skimmed milk or sultana bran
    Lunches- I've got a big butternut squash roasting in the oven with garlic, cumin and chilli which I'm going to whizz up with some stock to make a soup
    Mon- ???
    Tues- Pasta bake with tomato sauce without oil and topped with mozzarella.
    Weds- Spanish style Moroccan stew, made with tomatoes, red peppers and onions and baked spud. The sausages aren't low fat but they are thin, so I'll only have a couple. I've got spicy lamb and beef ones.
    Thurs- ???
    Fri-
    Might do roast chicken and serve with roast spuds with spray oil and some veg. I might even try out Yorkshire's cooked in Fry Light instead of the usual tonne of oil

    As you can see I still need some inspiration (or should that be thin-spiration!)

    I may well be heading off to WW with my mother after christmas.. I'm fat she is borderline obese so should be a laugh!!.. But for now.. I'm staying put.

    Off to deflea.. and I am so sick of the sight of cake today I may never eat it again.. 6 dozen buns, a marble cake, 2 trays of pink fudge and 20 bread bombs is enough for one day!!

    Evening all!The kids party was a great success, they really enjoyed it and we have now returned them to Mum and Dad suitably full of e-numbers and bouncing off the walls - *evil cackle*I had eggs, toast and mushrooms for brekkie then nothing until tea! Last year we all got fed at the party but this year it was just the kids. OH had to go straight to work so he grabbed a butty from the shop and dropped me off with the kids, daughter dropped me off in town and I ended up wandering round the shops and getting some more christmas bits. I didn't fancy going in a cafe on my own so waited until I got home and had a cheese and leek flan with SW wedges and roasted veg followed by a yoghurt and a cereal bar.Still having problems with posting so well done to the losers and I'll see you tomorrow ladies!!Enjoy the evening, I'm off to watch Dino Autopsey on Nat Geog. as one of the guys I work with is in it!!!

    thank goodness you want to keep me!:j :j :j :D

    Have been busy cooking from scratch again;) :p made some little veggie quiches for myself and 2 veggie pies all for the freezer as well as the soup which was lovely - had potato, broccoli, thyme and some cheese in it with veggie stock. The boys liked the HM rolls - only 1 left now!
    I ate the last HM muffin - banana and walnut so no more temptation for me(only the couple of leftover HM mince pies:rolleyes: :D )

    see you all in the morning, got another day off!:j

    Yay! I like the discipline of some of the slimming clubs but hate their over reliance on processed foods! They tell you to eat as many "Pasta 'n' Sauces" as you can eat- they are all free.... Uhh... no you can't. They are full of salt and chemicals and will give you high blood pressure and a heart attack. Some of the club meetings are a pain as you feel like a freak that cooks as opposed to somebody who shoves a Lean Cuisine (do they still make these) in the oven!

    Pigpen Can I come round to yours for munchies?! Pink fudge sounds scrummy. What is it?

    Night all,

    Just checking in to report on the eating (and drinking) for to-day...not good but can't let myself slack off doing this as it would be disastrous.

    Breakfast...Fruit and fibre with extra raisins, milk, coffee;
    lunch....bowl home made soup with thin slice bread;
    Dinner....roast stuffed pork, cauliflower, mushy peas, roast potatoes, whole bottle of very nice Sardinian ros!.
    Snack...100 grms ( maybe more, finished container) of choc peanuts!

    I feel so bold, but hope that feeling stuffed will make me reluctant to eat the like again tomorrow.

    Night all, sleep well,

    Marie
