I'm eating a Krispy Kreme donut. Our company has just been sold, and as we're uncertain what that really means, boss has treated us to naughties. Today is a day off! x

  • Hello everyone - just on the computer briefly to do banking but thought I would check in -

Taplady - sorry to hear about DS - that must be so frightening. Hope your IBS settles down - I know if ever I am nervous at all I get the runs - I have always been like that.

Newlywed - sorry for your loss, but glad that your travel plans are okay.

Mrs M - well done on reaching your Christmas target!

Hi to Frogga, Marie, Alibow, rockie, joey, gingham, bobbadog, pigpen, rach(welcome!), juliejim and everyone else.

I haven't been at the computer much over the last few days because I am having a terrible time with DD1 - she is 17 and in sixth form but she is really stroppy and on Wednesday she wouldn't get up in time for school (nothing new there I'm afraid to say), but at lunchtime she got up and started to get ready to go out, saying that she was going to go bowling with her friends in Southport, but she would be back by 8pm as we were going to do some preparation for her university interview on Saturday. At 8pm she wasn't in so I phoned her and she said she was walking up the pier to get the train, but she never arrived. I tried phoning her all night and she wouldn't answer her phone. By midnight I was in a right state and rang her Dad (ex DH) and he went out looking for her, going to all her friends houses, but nothing. Anyway she didn't come in all night and the next morning I rang the police and they said that I had to wait 24 hours. I rang college and they talked to her friends who must have got in touch with her and she finally answered her phone at about 11am, but she refused to say where she was or with whom. She came home at about 3pm and said that it was none of our business where she was and refused to tell us. We tried everything but she just refused to answer us. She was really nasty and in the end I lost my temper and shouted and yanked the computer out of the wall socket, but she just laughed at me. She wouldn't get up this morning either and has spent all day in her pyjamas on the phone to her friends. I am at the end of a very long tether with her and just don't know what to do. Anyway sorry to burden you all with my problems.....

Food wise I have been okay as I have had no appetite.....

Taplady.. I am so glad DS is ok.. it must have been very scary for all of you! He is recovering THAT is the important thing.

Frogga.. yes I resisted the hula hoops and scarfed a satsuma instead!

Spendaholic.. My 16 year old son did exactly the same last week.. yet this week he is the complete opposite.. honestly it is like he was taken over by a demon for about 4 weeks.. and is now back to his usual level of horribleness thankfully.. Just keep in mind they are so horrible as teenagers so we don't get upset when they leave home!!!!!! And she will be leaving home sooner now rather than later.. *sigh*.. I'm helping mine pack! (((hugs))) I never even bothered ringing the police because I know they won't do a thing until 24 hours have passed.. which is ludicrous!

I am turning into a satsuma!! or it could be bad cellulite lol

    Breaky.. a satsuma..
lunch.. a satsuma a packet of crisps on the run and another satsuma..
    snack after school.. a satsuma..
dinner tonight is to be.. 2 potato waffles, mushrooms and fish fingers I think.. 4 instead of 6!!

Pub later.. 12 shots of Vodka and 3 pints of fresh orange and 1 pint of lemonade.. approx..

    :santa2: rach

:grouphug: to newlywed, taplady and RS

Went out for my meal last night - didn't do too badly - melon to start, turkey, potatoes, salad, stir-fried veg and a sausage roll for main, then profiteroles for pudding - and yes it was a bit of a strange combination!

Weigh-in tomorrow but I'm not building my hopes up and then my birthday on Sunday so at this rate I may be struggling to reach my Christmas target! It doesn't help that everyone's started to open their chocolates and Christmas goodies!

Anyway, hope everyone's having a good day

I've just realised it's Friday and I should have weighed in this morning! Mind you I was still asleep this morning after rolling in at 12.45 and then DS waking me at 5.30! So I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning.

Bobbadog Mmmm.... Krispy Kreme.... they open where I live next week and could be my downfall. I did win a box of 12 of them last week, but didn’t claim them.

Recovering Spendaholic and Pigpen Argh! Children! Whenever my OH and I are broody we need stories like this to put us off! I don’t think I could cope with all that stress. Must remind self, cute babies grow into nightmare teenagers!

    Today’s been ok.
B- Porridge made with skimmed milk and water
    L- Boots Shapers Hummous wrap
T- Chilli and rice made without oil and with very low fat mince with about half an ounce of cheddar
Snacks- an apple, a Clementine, plus drinking a gin and slim! Might have a snacksize Mullerice in abit, or maybe another gin!

Went to look round the gym that I had arranged to go see. It was £40 a month and just seemed a bit dingy. You had to pay 60p for car parking (why even bother charging) and there was a queue for parking at 4pm, so heaven knows what it would be like at 5.30pm. Must put thinking cap on about what I’m going to do about it.
