Newlywed... huge hugs to you, I'm sure gran would understand -whatever you decide... but im sure she would rather you didn't spend money you don't have flying back to say "goodbye" how about buying a lovely rose bush for you garden and planting that and having a few quiet moment to yourself? then everytime you go into the garden you will think of her? just an idea....

Frogga - your gran sounds like my mamma... she was a spirited little devil....
    Thats a lovely letter :D

Meanmarie... i have a fertile imagination..its getting the thoughts from my head and getting my podgy fists to co-operate that's the problem :rotfl: .. although x stitching is a big passion...and as a bonus it's one i find really easy to do - plus it stops me eating :T

    Hello frogga :D

They are the "celtic ladies" but when they came out they had fancy borders across the top and down 1 side..with spring, summer etc but the one that should be called winter was called "noel" so i took them off as i thought they looked better :D they were far too fussy.... plus this way mine are different ;)

I have a red one to do, one in white n gold, a frost blue one and the one im working on is greens n purples...

they are so easy to do... you should see the swan that hubby did... i love it..and he is now working on an owl...

i am gonna have to work on the bike whilst hubby is out at work and then do mums in the evenings when he is lurking ;)

Have you done anything with those pencil cases yet?..let me know if you want anything else to do.. i have allsorts of patterns:D

Well it's letting me on but will only let me do a basic post.....Newlywed - (((((hugs))))) Wrap contained hummus, beetroot, lettuce and cucumber - very tasty!MrsM - not exotic really, OS in fact as I was using up leftovers! You're very 'crafty' aren't you??Frogga - what a lovely poem. We had veggie casserole and rice for tea then went shopping OH 'needed' a new mobile. It's absolutely persisting down and we got soaked just running from the car to the shops so wehn I got in I consumed a small bar of B&B maya gold, 2 chocolate digestives and a slice of bread and butter!!!!!!!I'm so cross with myself, I wasn't even hungry......Ah well, tomorrow is another day....

can i join you ladies on here? I am currently trying to lose weight to make sure my wedding dress fits properly (wedding 7 weeks on sat!)

about 7 years ago i lost 5 stone, started by going to weightwatchers and then joined the gym instead. unfortunately after i moved down here and with my job, i put some of it back on. have been back at ww for a couple of years, have lost just over 1.5 st in that time, i help at the meeting therefore go for free and have yoyo'd a bin until recently (see sig). haven't tracked properly this week, in fact i will do so now, and eating out twice tomorrow and at OH's parents this weekend which always makes it harder, though we are hopefully going out for an 8 mile walk on sunday.

i have recently cut bread out again which has helped a lot (it really bloats me!)

anyway, all this is a roundabout way of saying i'd like to join the thread! i'm usually on the flylady thread.

Welcome rach...this is the place to get things done...for some!

Frogga...you are definitely out to get me to-day...my mother's 13th anniversary is on 11th and I am never good around now so thanks for making me whinge!

Newlywed...you will by now have made your decision and I am sure that your granny is happy with it...just remember always that you were very lucky to have a granny, both of mine died long before I was born, but I saw the love my children had for theirs and I know how I feel about my grandchildren.

    Today I have eaten:
Breakfast....muesli with raisins, dates, apricots, milk, coffee,
    Lunch....noodles and a clementine, coffee
Dinner...pork chop, carrots, parsnips, saut!d potatoes 2 caf! noir biscuits and coffee

Going to have some hm veg and lentil soup now and maybe some more clementines...they're not so cheap here MrsMC....by the way love your pictures, don't think that I could handle that so good on you!

Pigpen...I know that feeling...if I weigh myself and walk the few steps to the family bathroom the scales there tells me I have lost 7 lbs...but can't really fool myself...was strong to-day when DD3 asked what size I was if anyone was buying me clothes for Christmas and said that I don't want clothes for 2 reasons: hoping to lose some ( a lot of !) weight before my Australian trip next year; my wardrobe is bursting with clothes...and I hate lots of them but they mostly fit so won't do anything until the 5 stones I need to lose disappear.

    Night all

Good morning you lovely lot! I've got that Friday feeling, so huge hugs to everyone! (And welcome, Rach!)

Was a tad naughty last night - had a big harvest grain roll with my stew (I do love coming home to a bubbling slow cooker! Will have to start using it more). I also had 1/2 a rich tea biscuit as wanted something sweet but felt 1/2 would do. Oh, and a chocolate Robin from my Advent Calender (yes, am very childish. But OH has a Doctor WHo calendar, so am less childish than him!)

    Today:
B: 1/2 a pink grapefruit, brown toast, tea
L: going out with work, but with work colleague who only eats gluten free organic healthy things, so damage minimal (and being treated = free)
D: Either GReen Thai soup (not home made, my fave and on BOGOF in Sainsburys), leftover stew (if OH is out) or Fish. Or something. You know, I have no idea for once!

Just weighed myself and have stayed the same this week - which is ok :) xx

Oooh - I may have to pick your brains for ideas to mimic the recipe of this green thai soup.I imagine it'd be nothiing more than some green thai paste and loads of ginger, but am not sure. Will read the label and ensure we get some necessary ingredients in next big shop.
