I had a nice lunch out with Mum and Sis - they treated me!:j I had a brie and cranberry sandwich on granary bread with a side salad - no cake honest!:D
The options were on offer recently at Adsa 2 for £3! so I stocked up:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Alibow ~ it is a cd collection of the Alex Rider novels. All 6 novels on 37 cd's. It's 42 1/2 hours long! He'll love it! Was £127 reduced to £21.99
Tadpole 2 just got in from school. He said something happened at school that made him very happy and very sad at the same time. They had a visit from an Ipswich Town Football coach 3 weeks ago who was talking to them about health and fitness and nutrition et.c He gave them all a free pedometer and a workbook to fill in and said there would be a "small" prize for the best one.
Tadpole 2 (Robbie) really enjoyed filling in the work book , which was full of quizes and questions and wordsearches et.c. The coach came back today for a follow up visit and to look at the books. Robbie got his ready and his friend, G got really upset as he hadn't done any work to his at all. Robbie said that G could have his, put his own name on it and hand it in as his own. Robbie wasn't that bothered about it the prize whatever it was.
The coach read through them all and at the end of the day in assembly he announced that one person had an outstanding book and had worked very hard and was a clear winner. You know what I'm going to say don't you? Yup , G won the prize with Robbies work :rolleyes: and the prize? 2 tickets to see Ipswich town play on Saturday!
G did offer to give them back to Robbie and tell the truth but he was so upset at the thought of not getting the tickets that Rob said he said he could have them. I think he also thought he would get into trouble for fibbing! Robbie said he was pleased for G but it was getting on his nerves that everyone was congratulating him on such a lovely work book! :rolleyes: You can see why I'm definitly going to get those CD's now can't ya?Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Well, my day has been ok-ish.
B- sultana bran and skimmed milk
L- chicken ramen at Wagamama, plus 2 gyoza (little fried dumplings- my friend ate 3, so I calculate I had 40% of the total calories!)
T- I marinated chicken thighs in soy, ginger and garlic and then roasted them in the oven. I made a no added fat egg fried rice with sugarsnaps, broccoli,peas and sweetcorn. I then shredded the chicken in and poured all the chicken juices over (after draining off the fat). It was delish!!!!
Snack- half a piece of toast with butter and marmite (I figured half a slice was better than a whole). I might have a Mullerice later. I've bought the smaller snack size pots, so there's less calories.
Overall its been a so-so day food wise. I tried to do a bit of Chrimbo shopping and got sick and tired of looking at overpriced nasty gift sets that nobody ever uses. A jar of olives and a plate- £10, a couple of little bottles of bubblebath- £10. No thanks!!!0 -

Taplady- That's fab! How long have you been going to class?
I keep thinking about going to a class such as SW or WW. SW worked well for me in the past, but last year I tried it and after about a fortnight stayed the same for about 3 weeks and lost heart. I do need the discipline, but it is pricey. Maybe I should try WW- they do a monthly pass for £18 a month which allows you online access and as many classes as you want a week. I keep thinking, after Christmas, but then again, I managed to give up smoking last year on 21st Dec and that worked out all right!0 -
hi all
Well done Taplady
JoeyEmm - if all you want from WW or SW is the regular weigh-ins, try your doctor - I was on a weight management course, which was for 12 weeks every 2 weeks. The content of mine was a bit rubbish, all about motivation etc, but it was free. I also got my cheap gym membership the same way.
Frogga- well done on the extra shopping Robbie sounds like a sweetie
Newlywed - hope you are enjoying the hot choc - luckily it is something I don't really like. I like my chocolate in nice thick bars.
Alibow - hope your post comes OK - I hate having to wait in for things
Hi MrsM and everyone else Ihave not mentioned.
Well, things are going well here - I have just back back from the gym, I struggle to go out once I'm home. Doesn't help the LO's bedtime routine involves us all snuggling in the bed, which I find very hard to get up from. I normally try and go in my lunchtime. as I am the boss my lunch break can be any time, but I can't always escape.

Evening folks. Welcome new people ! and well done those who unlike me actually have the Mr W Power there to assist them with making an effort
Well, Cat has been a Childe of Evil the last couple of days. Let's reveal the full horror of the nonhealthy eating regime of the last 48 hours.
Yesterday - breakfast 2 buttered crumpets. cup of tea.
Mid afternoon - 1 pkt Tyrells Thai curry crisps 1pkt Bio lightly salted crisps. 1 small fruit and nut choc bar. 1 small Green and blacks Mayan Gold choc bar. Pepsi max.
Evening - scampi cooked in the oven made into sandwiches with iceberg lettuce and tartare sauce. steamed new potatoes. cranberry juice.
Half past midnight - cheese and lemon curd sandwich, about half a pint of milk and half a punnet of blueberries. Did drink quite a lot of water and had an hour of " kitchen workout " doing housework and dancing to cheesey disco music in the kitchen.
Today - again not able to eat until 1.30 pm.
Pkt barbecue crisps, small packet of chocolate buttons, pepsi max.
Teatime - 1 buttered crumpet, cup of tea, 2 sticks of celery, small piece of cheese.
About 2 hours ago - 2 mini trifles and a packet of Chipsticks.
I'm probably going to top the night off with a cheese and beetroot sandwich and a punnet of strawberries. Yes, a whole punnet. I'm past caring by now.
Sigh.
I have been feeling really fed up, pee'd off, and cross for various reasons the last 2 days , mostly work related - there are a few situations about to come to a head. That shouldn't be an excuse though. One of the things I am really cheesed off about is the way I often am not able to get anything to eat and drink at reasonable times whilst working during both my jobs. Since they are both mainly responsive there is nothing that can be done about this, and the last few months it just seems to have got worse. I really need to work hard again on not grabbing cr*p or not caring about what I eat when I can, because I am feeling tired and stressed. That's slipping back into old bad non OS ways." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -
:santa2: I'm here - have you missed me?
Not doing too well this week but AF is here and I never do very well then. I've had my Christmas dinner at work today - I had a healthy first course then had trifle but I only ended up eating half of that as the person opposite broke a glass which landed in itstill I suppose she saved me from myself!
Christmas do tomorrow night and then weigh in Friday morning - I'll probably still feel stuffed from the previous night but hopefully I'll manage to dance some of it off.
Hope everyone's well
Hopefully I won't have any more problems getting on the site

Just lost a post...I hate that!
Frogga...there is obviously another Marie of your acquaintance who is old, so won't upset myself by thinking that you mean me! Well done on that young tadpole of yours...he is a lovely youngster who will one day be a wonderful frog.
Tadpole and cookie....congratulations on weight loss.
Kitty...go a bit easy on yourself the whipping helps nothing...believe me I've been there!
Today I have eaten:
B....porridge made on water, with raisins, apricots, pumpkin seeds and pine nuts, with milk and honey, coffee;
Lunch....chicken sandwich on hm rye bread;
pm....small bounty bar, two cafe noir biscuits, thin slice bread with little hummus;
Dinner....1 roast potato, chicken and bacon, steamed onions, turnip, kohlrabi, carrots, peas with a little grated parmesan
1 clementine, 1 apple
Feel a need of something now, going to bed soon so will have some nuts and glass water I think, although would like a sandwich...
Sleep well all
