    morning all :D
and a special super cheery WOOHOO to my little green friend:snow_laug ...morning frogga :D

well i have had a soak and washed my hair.. i won't be getting a walk today as i have agreed to look after next doors little one for a while..just the gap between her going out and her mum picking him up - so should be a couple of hours max...we hope ;)

Just found out hubby is on duty Sunday thrrrppp..so he will be at work from 9am sunday morning until at least 9am monday morning.... will probably be more like lunch time no doubt... and then we are off to visit the christmas market :T ..didn't get the other week as i still fell a bit off colour. I don't actually want anything but will have a steady poddle and hopefully get us into full xmas mode :D

Hubby has no idea what to get me for my birthday or christmas.... and i can think of nothing either..so we may have to take a look whilst we are out and about-thing is im getting so tight fisted -sorry "frugal" that i hate spending money -even hubbies-unless i can get a super bargain  ...but i don't mind spending on others though  ... mind im going to be pulling the belt in on that front in the new year too:A .. hubby has had a new golf trolley for xmas.. but i have got him a couple of bottles of malt to unwrap on xmas morning....
Im deffinitely planning on making as much as i can for next year.. so i may be picking your brains folks.... im gonna be knitting, x stitching, jewellery making, and anything else i can think of :rotfl: .... my knitting isn't too bad as long as im not doing anything big..i get bored :o so it may be scarves etc... although i can pattern.. I also have a pattern in a mag for small bags..lovely if you have kids.. they look very simple and could be filled with goodies.....have to start thinking about it now as x stitching takes a long time - well the ones i do do.. also thinking of doing bottles of fruits in alcoholic syrups etc... can take advantage of the summer glut ;) ...
im sure you lovely folks will have loads more ideas for me :p ..and i think some of you should join in too.. at least the little green one.. well frogga you love doing things for others -thinking of hedge hog rolls here :rotfl: so we could cut down costs, keep our fingers busy(and out of the fridge) and make lost of lovely personal gifts :T ....ok ok someone is getting excited about next xmas :o

Moving swiftly on from my mad rambling..sorry folks :p

better get off and get my brekkie..will have weetabix..and ignore the few clementines that are left.. for now anyway :rotfl: ... well ladies -hope we all have a good day..

keep up the good work everyone :T

Nice to see you back recovering spendaholic :T ..for once im not having problems with the site ...makes a nice change :D ..well done on the loss:j

taplady..good luck for your weigh in later...fingers crossed:D

  • Morning all!

I've haven't joined in before but would like to now if that's ok??

I was a member of WW and got to my goal weight on 5 Dec last year but have fallen off the wagon again and I need some help! (I blame all the gorgeous cake and biscuit recipes on here that I just have to bake and then have to eat!!):o

So... current weight 10st 2lb, goal weight 9st 6lb... need to lose 8lb (it might not seem a lot but it's the difference in clothes sizes for me!)

So far today I've had 1/2 cup of tea and a mug of Cadbury's highlights hot choc (from poundland - just put 4 spoons in instead of 3 and it's yummy and not at all watery!!):D
Happiness is not getting what you want - it's wanting what you have :D

    Morning you lovely lot!

I was very good yesterday except one small biscuit that fell into my mouth (fancied something sweet. OH had 2 chocolate eclairs though!!!!)

    Today:
B: strawberry crunch cereal, earl grey
L: small amount of leftover spag bol, w/ wholemeal pasta, low fat yoghurt
D: HM chicken jalfrezi w/ poppadoms and some bombay potatoes. Mmmm!!
No snacking, as dinner relatively naughty! xx

    Morning MRSMCAWBER and babychick!

I think my downfall this Christmas might be truffles. I need to give little thank yous to the people that look after the cats when we are away, my acupuncturist who sees me at the drop of a hat and all the other people that help when we need it. I spent last night on ebay buying little gussetted cellophane bags and edible glitter, so I can make my own chocolate truffles as gifts. I stopped myself buying chocolate moulds, but thought the glitter would be great to show the difference between flavours.

I'm going to do some plain, some with brandy, some with stem ginger and maybe some with whisky. I thought one batch could be rolled in grated chocolate, another in cocoa, one dipped in melted chocolate and another sprinkled with edible gold glitter.

Arghhhh! With all this cooking comes necessary tasting!!!!!
  • oh wow - i didn't even know edible glitter existed!1 my dd will love that sprinkled onto shortbread star shaped biscuits... :j

Its amazing. You can get spray on gold and pearl effects as well. I only thought about it as I was in Selfrdiges the other day and they had AMAZING cakes that were sprinkled with pearly fine glitter dust. They were also half price as well, so OH loved his sparkly profiterole tower (I didn't get myself anything!)

Have a look on here at some of the things available (although I got off ebay as it was cheaper for one item)

Morning all. Thought I'd just pop in whilst I'm sitting around waiting for the postie (hoping parcels will come and don't want to have to go to the sorting office to get the if I miss him cos its miles away). Regretting my offer to walk up to the pub with a poster now as the weather is rubbish here today. Apparently its going to brighten up later tho so maybe by the time I'm showered and dressed it'll be a bit better. In fact I think theres already a bit of blue sky showing out the window, horray! I'm still not particualrly hungry after my meal out last night but have had my weetabix anyway as I don't like missing breakfast. I have a sneaky suspiscion that tea tonight may be burgers and chips as thats all thats left in the fridge really. I might make myself pasta instead if I can be bothered. Apart from walking the rest of taday will be spent making christmas decorations and jewellery for my stall on saturday. Have realised that I don't have enough paper left for cards and calenders so that will require a trip to town at some point. Probably first thing saturday morning, unless I can get mum to pop over there tomorrow night for late night shopping. I can't afford the bus fare for buses that don't even turn up half the time, grr. Postie is still not come but I've run out of stuff to write (as you may have guessed from the rambling!) so I will be off for now. Hope everyone has a good day.

Frogga...I should hope that tadpoles were still in bed at 4.40 am! Would you like to come and clean my fridges please, as somebody keeps spilling stuff in there and my approach so far has just been to wipe up the spillage, but have a feeling that there is worse waiting when I get to the back of it!

Rotten weather here, not really in mood to do anything, but have forced myself to do some bits this am and even put away some stuff outside as I am afraid that things are about to take off in the wind.

Be back later with menu eaten...good luck to all

    Hi there Alibow..

When you make your jewellery..do you hang it on those cards you get? If so..i have loads of them - they are clear plastic circles that you fold in half and they have a sticky pad to join them and room for clip/pierced ears and you can thread the necklace/bracelet through.. i used to make jewellery to sell on ebay -until the market got flooded with imports  .. so i have loads if you could use any???

I have hung on to my pliers, crimpers etc and some of my fave beads..but got rid of most of my kit.. keep meaning to get stuff out and get it used up... in fact i will try and use some up with my home made xmas goodies next year :j ..have allready made lovely beaded curtain tie backs....

just let me know if you can use any :D
