Good afternoon everyone
I have finally made it on here...and if this post disappears i will scream...
Recovering spendaholic...im a sugar free junky.... i make 2 of them up at a time..put some tinned fruit in individual dishes and top it up with jelly.. and when they are set, i sometimes have some yogurt on top mmmmm i have 5 dishes in the fridge at the moment..allready had one:D . I have even got mum sending me some over from the UK.. i don't know what i would do if i ran out :rotfl:
Well its roast chicken, new potatoes, nobbies, carrots, cabbage n broccoli for tea...1 of my favourites
Im the guilty party who mentioned having steamed cabbage under bolognaise... even if you have a bit of pasta with it.. it just means you get a decent portion;)
Well i have had a clean fest today....and have :-- hoovered right through
- mopped the kitchen, hall and bathroom
- cleaned the bathroom
- done the stairs n landing carpet with hot water with zoflora in and a scrubbing brush... it wasn't dirty as we have only been here 6 weeks, but it brings the pile up lovely..and with me hurtling up n down the stairs like a hippo in clogs all day..it needs all the help it can get :rotfl:
- washed all the paintworks down
- washed the front door, steps and paving down
- and have a batch of bread dough sat in a bowl proving
Tomorrow i will get the windows done, mop the cellar steps and tidy up the laundry room whilst im down there.... ooh and we go bowling on tuesday nights too... so thats the exercise dealt with:j
Patentgirl...don't worry about the scales not being kind this week..you could well be losing inches .... keep up the good work :T
Hi there This is it.... welcome on board
Taplady.... i agree with you... i still cook good old fashioned food, but i just have a smaller portion with plenty of veggies... and i find it much more satisfying than eating "lower cal meals"... i make savoury meat pie, steak n mushroom pie, cornish pasties, chillies etc and as yet im still managing to lose... fingers crossed it carries on
Tine.. thanks for the lentil soup recipe.. will give that a bash at the weekend.. i love lentil soup:T
Hi there frogga.. hope you have had a good day:D
Bread was one of my greatest weaknesses.. im a serious carbohydrate junky.... i bloated when i eat it, and craved even more.. i still have it occasionally - but in smaller quantities... so as soon as a loaf is out of the oven and cooled, i slice it and freeze it in 2 slices.... if i cant see it, it doesn't bother me;)
Sorry to anyone i haven't mentioned... but good luck to all....
Hi there Redmel... you snook on whilst i was typing...... well done on the weight loss :j-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Have had a bad four days. Been in bed with M.E. (myalgic encephalomyelitis), which has bugged me for 20 years.
Ironically my weight has increased as I have got better or at least managed it better.
Portion control and not snacking in the evenings will be my target.
Unable to exercise realistically, so I think my weight loss will be slower than others on Frogga's Amazing Weight Loss Campaign.
Family collected blackberries and windfalls. Daughter made a dairy-free, oat topping crumble which BIL enjoyed (lactose intolerant).
I shall have some later, when I surface from my bed, probably later this afternoon.

I wasn't having a pop...have much thicker skin than that... i had read someone saying that they were gonna put the cabbage under bolognaise, but they couldn't remember who had suggested it.. thought i had better own up... in case they think its awfull....:rotfl:
You are safe from missiles..i have the same sense of direction as a flip flop, i know we are on the west side of germany and thats about it

Well, I made the cabbage bolognaise for tea and it was ....FANTASTIC.... Thanks Mrs M and Odds - I didn't put any pasta with the cabbage - just used white (coleslaw sort) cabbage and shredded it finely and then did it in my tefal steamer for about 15 minutes and seasoned it with lots of salt and white pepper and 1tsp of Flora Buttery and had my hm bolognaise on top. Have got enough left for another meal tomorrow, or I might freeze it. I made the kids steak pie, creamed potatoes, carrots and gravy and was really tempted but resisted! I have made a sugar free jelly and it is in the fridge - might have some later but I'm not too sure......
Freyasmum - sorry about your breakup - when ex DH and I split up I didn't eat anything at all except cups of tea and coffee for about a week, but then when I did start eating I started "picking" and only eating comforting stuff and I gained weight. However I will never, ever, forget the awful feeling I had when we split up and wouldn't wish that unhappiness on my worst enemy, so I do feel so sorry for you at the moment. It doesn't matter that as time goes on the pain lessens because the pain at the moment it too bad. Look after yourself.
On another note - has anyone seen Fern Britton lately? Hasn't she lost loads of weight? Apparantly she won't talk about how she has done it or even say that she's been on a diet but I reckon she's lost about 5 stone and she looks great!
Hope you are all having a good evening. BTW Mrs M - where abouts in Germany are you? I used to live in Aachen and also in Herten, which is a small town near to Gelsenkirchen Buer. I loved it there, but hated it in Aachen.Jane
