    Morning all, Normality has returned to my house, kids at school and dh at work. They all finish school/work for Christmas next Thursday the 15th which seems really early so I really must make the most of the day :)

    Today's list
    * Kids to breakfast club, so free breakfast :)
    * I didn't follow the rest of the mum's down to queue for a new store that's opening nearby so that's money saving! :)
    * Dh has his works do tonight and the kids are having friends over, so it will be a quick & easy meal for them all and I'll reheat the concoction from the other night and have it on a jacket spud
    * Money shuffle - must do this today :)
    * Get 2017 calendar out as I have a couple of appointments that need adding on already :)
    * Check banking/spreadsheets :)
    * Check luckyphone/numberplate/fpl :)
    * Check tcb/£co :)
    * Hoover only where needed :)
    * No heating on until kids home :)
    * Try for a few sb surveys as I've not being doing many and haven't had the benefit of as many vouchers for xmas this year :)2 little ones done :)
    * Wrap the couple of presents dh wanted for a colleague
    * Dejunk email :)
    That's my starter, going to finish my :coffee: and update as I go :
    ** 2 little jobs knocked off the annoying jobs list :)
    ** Checked library status for the next book in the series my eldest is reading and he was still 2nd in the queue and the due back dates were at the end of the month, then remembered to check their online free E Library and have been able to download the book so that he can read it on the tablet over the weekend (I don't let them read on a night on their tablets normally so he'll be thrilled :) Whilst thinking on I'll order the next couple through the normal library now :)

    Afternoon all :)
    Frantic burst of activity this morning:
    Carted a load of boxes of stock etc down to car in garage
    Drove to shop, gutted sales unit and restocked
    Left car at shop to avoid paying for parking, walked to collect a parcel from the sorting office
    And post an ebay parcel
    Then drove to local department store and bought the rest of the decorations I wanted
    Popped into Mr S and bought the bits I couldn't get at Lidls yesterday
    Recycled a load of old magazines in the recycling bins in the supermarket car park. No idea why I was keeping them!
    Picked up half a dozen free wine boxes (empty unfortunately :rotfl:) for packing ebay sales
    Unpacked car and carried the stock I had brought back from the shop, plus the shopping, back to the house
    Collapsed in a heap, had lunch and did a Onepoll survey and RM surveys tasks.

    Dragged OH and the dog off for a walk this afternoon as it is quite pleasant. Fresh air woke me up but not OH as he is currently snoring in his chair :rotfl: Dog is asleep too :rotfl::rotfl:

    No cooking tonight as OH is eating out with some friends, and I shall just have some of whatever is in the fridge! Settled for scrambled eggs on toast :)
    Did a pinecone survey - I have been a member for so long I get paid £4 each time - though they come along rarely!
    Sold an ebay item :T
    Just found another 40p worth of onepoll surveys :T
    Might write some Christmas cards tonight.
    Also need to put away the business stock I bought back, not much thank goodness!
  • Bouncing I to be a smug so and so... I finished my Christmas shopping, food shopping until 24th (actually just need to go shopping on 23rd for the rest of the month. Get bits that wouldn't last), have wrapped 50% of gifts. So easy when you buy so little :) so that's it nothing more to do other than a winter clean and enjoy the festivities :)

  • Foxgloves that's a proper MSE shopping trip!

    Set DS1 off making fishcakes for tea. He did a great job but now I remember why I dont make them very often, what a mess and so many pots and pans! I dread to think what the kitchen is like at work when DS1 is doing his stuff. He made enough to go in the freezer for another night though.

    Overheard DS2 telling someone that he doesnt think he is getting much for Christmas, bless him, I think he has taken the message that we are not going mad with presents too literally. So I have brought some of the boys pressies downstairs and put them under the tree to reassure him.

    Fire lit, no heating as it's not really cold. Finishing off a bottle of raffle prize wine. Load in WM to go over airer in front of the fire before bed. So looking forward to the weekend, going to a Christmas market tomorrow - just to look and enjoy the atmosphere of course.

    Evening all :)

    I had soup for breakfast and lunch again with a slice of what I can only describe as inside out arctic roll from the free table at work.

    I went out to buy a Christmas present my mum has asked for at lunch time which is purse from Dune so not cheap but they had 30% off today so today was the right day to do it!

    Dinner tonight was YS sandwiches (DH still has my lurgey and can't face big meals at the moment) presented on a platter with some Pringles, a dip and some chicken on skewers for DS and DSGF (DS looked delighted as he loves a mini buffet) and some YS choux buns for pudding. I'm really pleased with myself as we usually have a takeaway on a Friday evening.

    I sold something else on eBay today for £10 that only cost me 50p at work. one of the cats managed to knock it off the shelf tonight so thank heavens it wasn't breakable!

    I have someone coming to collect a chest of drawers tomorrow morning, she has asked for (and been given) the address and directions twice and the telephone number three times, I don't see it ending well :rotfl:

    Tomorrow I plan to deep clean the sitting room before putting up the decorations and bringing in the tree. I have rather overstocked on stuff for the new business venture so will be putting some of it back on eBay.

    My DSD gave me a quick tutorial on how to best use my Facebook business page (once it goes live) and tonight I made my first post from my personal account on her page, I hope she will be impressed with me :cool:

    We have extra freelancers in at work this week and 4 of us had a good chinwag about the best and worst places to work and the general state of the business and everyone is in agreement that things are not looking good for any of us for 2017. I belong to an invite/recommendation only ya.hoo group where we all share leads for any bookings we've had to turn down if we're already booked and for the first time EVER I've seen people posting 'work wanted' messages on there. I think I am doing the right thing in trying to do something else but I'm going to try to overlap the two until I know if the business is going to work (having had my fingers burned before.)

    Have a good weekend everyone!

    FVD well the PITA booked! Woo hoo! Sorry to hear about the annoying YS grabber. Mind you that said 7.30 seems early to me to be getting all of the next days stuff out, I find the later you go the better, I got 5 Kingsmill loaves for less than £1 the other night about 9pm.

    Cross posted with your new post. That's great news about your work flow looking so positive.
