Reporting Savings of £1696.47 this month. Quite unexpected as something I'd budgeted for came in £550 under so was able to move that to my savings pot.

I've save £1000.26 in May so have just declared that on the form. Still on target to hit £12k this year.

May update time. £1145 saved

Not too bad considering May felt like an expensive month with lots of people I really like leaving my work (many drinks!) and flights to Greece booked. June will include the rest of that trip's costs, so we'll see how it goes. A good friend of mine is getting married and I wouldn't miss that party, so it's definitely worth it.

Ideally to hit my target savings rate I want to be putting away £1250 a month, but on the whole I'm pretty pleased. Worked out the other day that I finally have a positive net worth for the first time since I started studying. Small steps.

An appalling £382.02 for me this month but I have a good reason: I'm buying a house Lots of money has gone out for solicitors' costs on account, buyer's protection insurance etc. The lender did the valuation yesterday so keep your fingers crossed for me?

I've just declared for April and May as I'm a bit behind.
I'm on £9845.83 for the year to date. This is around 80% of my planned figure, but life just keeps getting in the way.
June and July should be better!

How come you decided to buy now. I remember you mentioning either in this thread or the house deposit thread that you were planning to buy when you had 60k depost or so since house prices are so expensive in Cambridge.

I have managed £663 in May which is great as I had to pay the 6 monthly service charge on my flat this month also.

Declaring £2700 for May, £5100 so far and slightly ahead of target. A good strong June to come with 5 paydays, a small holiday bonus and a PPI claim accepted and awaiting transfer. Months target is an ambitious £4k. Well done enveryone, keep saving!
