Hello, I don't know if I will be able to save 12k this year as I don't have a job but I do get DLA and money for birthdays/Christmas that I ask for.

I have had a problem with gambling which has now stopped and at the moment i have £573 in my account. My DLA money comes in 12th June and I aim to put 160 in my account so I should have over £700 and then £60 pound rain money for a month but I may put in more then £160. I just feel I need to have a savings plan to know what I am definitely putting in my account

    Hi all!

I haven't been very diligent. Reporting a £2517.25 for months of April and May combined. What i noticed tracking my cash balance and net savings on a regular basis is the volatility of my spending. Most months I can go on a steady savings rate for 2-3 months then I will have a month of big expenditure, ie holiday etc.

Is that what others here are experiencing??

For the record, I will now have to bow out.

I saved and saved and saved and I acheived my goal of buying my own property. Now the money I had been saving is paying bills. Thanks for all your support over the last year or so and good luck!!
  • I've save for about £ 8k since January. As I must upgrade my Chervolet... then I guess my goal for a year should be 12k xD

Bye SpekySquarehead - good luck with your new place and well done for all the saving! Thanks for your motivating posts!!
  • Not sure what is going wrong with my totals - I didn't save £1400 in April, I think that might have been my overall total. The TOTAL AMOUNT SAVED is now £1,800 as of end of May. I am number #132. I will try to make it clearer on my June update. Sorry for any confusion.
  • Belatedly reporting 981.24 in May. So close to an extra digit but at least an improvement on April.
