    Good lick everybody else.

Most excellent :) This reminds me of when I got contact lenses and the optician, quite seriously, told me not to lick them. People do that??

I'm really impressed if people can lick them without taking them out!:D

No 56 reporting, £1597.01, a much better month but next month won't be so good!

    Good luck all! x
  • I am so happy to come on and update this month. I got my annual work bonus this payday and it was so much higher than i expected.... I'm kind of gobsmacked. I had already spent a small proportion of it on holiday euros and a couple of other bits, and was expecting to be able to throw a couple of hundred extra into my savings. In fact, i have actually saved 1900.22 of it!!!! So it has boosted my savings by 2k... I was a very happy bunny indeed yesterday when i checked my banking (and still am!!)

So including my standard monthly savings and a few extras (refunds, cashback, interest etc), i am ecstatically declaring 2510.75 saved in March!

I'm not expecting any more windfalls like this this year, and will have some spends coming up for the house so it feels really nice to have this boost to keep me on track and on target :-)

Happy payday everyone - keep up the good work!!

    Ada

Managed by usual £1000 but sadly lost my job unexpectedly so will be job hunting again. Financially I'm ok for a good while so time to find just the right thing and it does help to live in central London in my sector.

Update for number 72 this month...

I've added in my RDF's which I have been saving for, but previously wasn't counting, so it's a bit of a bump of £1145.46 this month, woop woop!

This is a little deceptive as I have actually been a little spendy this month after so long being frugal, I obviously needed it. Managed to only contribute to my HTB ISA and my RDF's with nothing going to the Emergency Fund at all.

Oh well, c'est la vie. I have set myself a goal of being very frugal all April to attempt to make up for this and do a No Spend month, wish me luck and tightness lol.

In other news, I also got my first years interest on my HTB ISA at a whopping £52.81. It's not loads but it's the most I've ever had in interest as a previous poor/non-existent saver, so I'm chuffed to bits with it haha :rotfl:

Overall feeling pretty proud of myself. Check me out, I have savings for the first time in my entire life. :T:A
