Declaring a saving of £250 for March. Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to save much for the next few months because I will be finishing my PhD (so no more funding) and looking for a job. Fingers crossed the overlap is timed well and I'm able to save much higher figures in the second half of the year.

Finally got round to updating February's savings and it doesn't look good. Either my maths is off or I did indeed overspend by £34.49 :/ think March may be a spending month too due to booking an anniversary trip to Edinburgh which will be nice!

Just finishing doing a lot of bank switches and moving house so money is all over the place but hopefully from April it'll be save save save till the end of the year!

Declaring a rather disappointing £700 this month. I did have a long weekend away, I have paid for a flight next month and bought a couple of watercolours at auction for £350! They were rather special to me though and the opportunity will probably never come up again.

So 25% through the year and only 19% of target. I will get a big boost in September though, but I want to try reach target without counting that.

My update from February seems to have been missed on the progress spreadsheet, so I will send another form in with the total again

    This month I am declaring

    £3000,

I have picked up two more regular savers from Virgin Money and had a matured Regular Saver from Santander....

Not sure my total will be as high next month.

I've declared £500 for March and I got paid today so paid myself first.

I normally save what i have left but from now on I'm paying myself first and what I have left is what I have to spend.

March is a hefty month for me

    Car MOT
    Vet bill
    Mum's birthday
    Mothers day meal out

All really expensive but with the variable costs I normally spend and splash out but this time I have a set amount left after my savings and I will find gifts that are thoughtful and lovely but not ridiculous, she doesnt need Lulu Guiness handbags all the time lol.

Also I had a result with the mothers day meal that I treat the parents to, our favourite pub is quite pricey but this year their mothers day set menu is £20 per head, Cant quite believe it tbh.

    Good luck everyone .

    Other £120.66

Slightly behind my target so far but will keep plodding away. Good lick everybody else. Doing well so far.
