Declaring for November
£2445.00
I have had two maturing RS this month, one from Virgin, and one for Nationwide, with another one maturing tomorrow, so I will probably save the money elsewhere but minus the maturing balance so its balances out.
I get paid early next month so should be able to declare a little earlier.
Keep going all

#6 declaring £2000 for this month and £7000 saved this year overall meaning I've reached my target, yay! Also now £30142.19 total overall in the house fund kitty, finally over the 30k barrier. :j
I really didn't think I'd reach my goal after the shocking first half of the year but I've worked so hard to turn it around. My original target was 12k and I reduced it to 7k but now I've reached it I might try and push a little harder and see if I can squeeze another 2k to reach 9k total over the next month.
Thanks so much to slowlyfading and everyone who contributes to this thread...it's my favourite thread on this forum and I feel emotionally invested in everyones journey.
1 more month to go, we can do this! :THomeowner:j0 -
Hi Everyone
Wow, almost reached the end of 2017- doesn't time fly. We've had quite a good November for savings, although there are a few home improvements on the credit card bill coming next month. So we'll fall just short of our target for the year, but still good going overall. So declaring £3338.84 this month.
Keep going everyone, nearly there!Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -
Well, I'm putting down £2000 for November, but I think I may have about another £6,000 than that!
It's been a bonkers year in terms of money in and out. I've retired, work part time and also have a pension, have had a good lump sum, spent money on the house, paid university fees, had various holidays etc. Nothing's properly steadied out yet and each month's incoming and outgoings have varied wildly.
At the end of next month I can simply see how much more I have and the end of 2017 than I had at the beginning and reconcile it all and hopefully have a bit more than I have previously declared here; I've always erred on the cautious side.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

As predicted for October I have had to dip into saving so reporting a negative of -£348.43 (form submitted). I'm okay with this as i'm still on target thanks to this thread and part of it is owed to me but I won't count it until I get it back.
Well done everyone!
Very happy to report saving of £1163.30 this month, reaching and exceeding my target! I feel like I can spoil myself this Christmas with my December pay check, but I still aim to save as much as I can from it.
I've also decided to over pay my mortgage with my pay rise but will start that in the new year and feel comfortable doing so now that I have rebuilt my nest egg.
Thank you slowly fading and all the contributors to this thread.Save 12k in 2017 #78 £15,500/15,000 (103.3%)0 -

Found out I'll get paid on the 21st this month which is a little annoying (we're usually last working day of the month) for end of year declarations, but at least I suppose January's expenses can sit and earn some interest for a few weeks. My finances are in a pretty good state these days so 6 weeks between pay is not a problem, but I'm anticipating lots of very skint coworkers in January.Save 12K in 2018 #20 - £20,890/£18,000 (116%) November £1950

Thats the horrible bit of December pay, but now we can plan around it so the 6 weeks cycle isn't so harsh...
I get paid on the 16th normally the 20th, so not too early.

Mine's on 15th, normally 24th so I am expecting to bebone of the skint coworkers in January. Plus OH birthday in Jan too.
Another £750 in 13 days but then no savings excitement until 2018!
I know it's the point and everything but I am really pleased with the difference this thread has made. I've gone from a vague must save to pay the interest-only mortgage to actually doing it!0
