Mine's on 15th, normally 24th so I am expecting to bebone of the skint coworkers in January. Plus OH birthday in Jan too.

Another £750 in 13 days but then no savings excitement until 2018!

I know it's the point and everything but I am really pleased with the difference this thread has made. I've gone from a vague must save to pay the interest-only mortgage to actually doing it!

This is great to see and I completely agree with you. When I first joined I didnt think much of it, but it has really made me be more disciplined in how I go about saving.

  • No 44 reporting in. I saved £500 this month so am £1,000 over my target!! £8,500/£7,500. I think I counted the £250 share save scheme last month by mistake.
Thank you so much to Slowly Fading and see you all next year when I’m going to try for the full £12k.

  • No. 17 reporting in to say I have updated for December, I know it's a little early but I don't think I will be able to do much more now :rotfl:

  • Number 047 declaring £573.48 for this month. Not a bad month but certainly slight more spending with Christmas in sight.

Had some good news this month as well. Have secured a new job which will result in a pay rise. Should start in January should the paperwork come through before Christmas!

One month left and unless I come into a big wad of cash I don't think I'll hit my £7k target but it was always ambitious!

Hope everyone has a nice Christmas and a happy new year!

Last update for me. We added £1,261 in November and then spent the lot (minus £17,462.39) in December :rotfl:

I do have a lovely new home to show for it though :D

End of the year and I’m £250 short as I was late setting up one regular saver. I’ve achieved what I wanted to do with this years challeenge save £1000 a month mostly out of my rental income. I’m doing other bits of savings and I’ve Ijust signed up for Moneybox so not sure what target I want to set for nit cut year or how I’m going to do it.

Been a strange year lost my job in February but got a new on in August loved the time off I had but glad to be working in an even better job than I had.

Got another inheritance which is staying in Denmark so need to invest that when I go over at Christmas. Means I won’t ever need spending money when I’m there which will be quite nice as the pound is so low right now.

Slowly fading thanks for running the challenge and good luck with frugal baby 2 hope all is well and you get home soon.

Everyone else have a lovely Christmas and New Year
