Hello. Does the December amount have to be reported on the 31st ( or before ) or can I do it on 3rd Jan for example - would only count savings up to 31/12/17. I'm really busy at work over Christmas and new year so may not get a chance to do on 31stSave 12K in 2020. Number 130

There are no strict rules but I suspect people on here will be doing it 50:50. Personally I like to know to the penny how much I have saved so I will report after the clock strikes midnight, but others don't save in the same way so will be able to report before the new year. HTH0 -
#69 with £4887.10 for November - couldn't quite get to the £5k in the month, but very happy with that, and it takes me to £31,209.82 for the year so ... target reached
Slow start to the year, but then it has been a great six months saving, averaging over £3.5k per month, and will finish strong in December too. Onwards to 20180 -

My finances are in a pretty good state these days so 6 weeks between pay is not a problem, but I'm anticipating lots of very skint coworkers in January.
Same every year in my office. It always makes me scratch my head - Christmas is not an unexpected event, why don't people save a few extra quid a month for it??Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

After only a week of living in London its really urging me on to save to buy my own place, in Southampton rent wasn't as high so it was more manageable. Unfortunately (or maybe not so) I need to complete my probation period at work before I can get a mortgage on my new salary, which is expected to end April/May 2018.
