Dancemum- glad you have been seen by dr. Hope antibiotics work quickly and you manage to rest up and recover.
Wit- I've been learning to knit on a loom this week. I have to rotate the types of activities I do in the day (plus sleep!) due to pain levels. I'm loving knitting but have to be careful not to overdo it.
I managed to mess up some Christmas food prep yesterday- painkillers make it hard to think straight and I make stupid mistakes. I realised when I woke up this morning and am now lacking motivation!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
I am still here. The caravan move was interesting. The paddock is like the Somme. Kindle still broken.
Hugs to all poorlies. Mumto5 - your post was so funny!
Hope to be back online later x0 -
Me too sweetie, especially as I'm the only one bringing any money in so feel what you're saying re money too tight to mention (it's in my head now!) and I only work part time self employed plus no real work around at the moment. As my GP says to me 'this too shall pass' and we have to just keep hanging in there. My house is a real tip, DH and DS hoard, I'm fed up of the general greyness of the weather and we're having trouble with my 9 year old re going to school. Sending a hug to you.
Downed coffee, listed a coat for sale so off to clean .... I WILL NOT be distracted by anything any moreSave
Ah, school. *hugs* We struggled with DD1 going to school for a while (various things) to the point we took her out to home educate her, keeping an open mind as to how long that might be for. She chose to go back after a year (different school) and seems so much happier. Still needs a kick up the bum in the morning though...shes not a morning person! (neither am I!)Newbie doing the best I can:A

Belated birthday wishes to MrLW and minimal-decorations-vibes to LW.
On Monday I cleaned the house from top to bottom - including behind our bed: I had even hacked a path through the jungle to the front door :rotfl: DSiL and BiL did the right thing and made suitably admiring comments(it was the first time they'd been here) and ate a hearty lunch. DH was worn out by all their talking, but they left before dark so did not overstay their welcome (they had driven 120 miles to see him).
Yesterday morning was spent at the anti-coag clinic - probably the worst possible day for DH to have to go out, as it was very foggy and damp here. We waited for so long that I missed my chance to get the £20 deposit on the expiring weekly parking card refunded, so that will have to wait until the next time we visit that hospital. I managed to get to college in time to get my assignment extension request sortedand stayed for the evening lectures, while DH had a 1.5 hour visit from a lovely Greek couple who we know from SW, so he wasn't lonely.
Today I have to leave him on his own again in order to drive over and see DS3 in his first ever nativity play. Afterwards I shall stop for a quick cuppa with DS2 and family and then do a big food shop on the way home. Last week when I was on my own I had a FF full of food, but today the fridge is almost empty
I'm pleased to say that my long list on a big envelope has now shrunk to just a few items on a small postcard. We're going to write Christmas cards this evening.
Hope everyone has a good day. Please help yourselves to spoons and sticks as needed x0 -
Good Morning All,
Just a quick visit from me before school run. Cross with myself as I knocked the wingmirror off the car last night  It was very foggy and dark, and an unnecessary journey really - invited to a family do which started way too late to be appropriate for the children, but I went anyway as trying to do the "right thing" by DH family. Wish I hadn't bothered, it was rubbish, kiddies were beyond exhausted and lovely NDN who owns a car garage reckons £180 to fix the blasted thing. Meh.
Anyway. On to today. I really must wrap some presents as didn't do any yesterday. Got a huge frog to gobble, then it's the school Christmas fair. Then home for a quick tea, then more night driving to take DD to gymnastics. I will also be packaging and posting my Flylady secret santa gift today
Hope you start to feel better soon Dancemum xx
Dizzy - I have been thinking about you. I am here in spirit holding your hand - you are such a strong lady I really am in awe of all you cope with xx
Iona - your posts always make me do this
Havent seen Frizzle or Nicki round for a while - really hope they're ok xx
Must dash, back later xxMFW

Ooh, and morphine-induced brainfog seems to be my default state these days.
We're waiting in for a roofer chappie to turn up; Mr LW went into the loft yesterday and discovered a leak. Not the sort you put with potato in a pie, either. I'm sort of losing the will to live.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all
Just checking in quickly. Home in good time from paid stuff no. 1, bedrooms hoovered, dusted and de-cobwebbed. DS1s bedding changed, dirty laundry rounded up and a load in the wm. Paintwork wiped down upstairs and bathroom cleaned.
On with paid stuff no. 2 now. Then DS1 to take for hair cutting, parcel to collect, few bits needed from Li@l. Hoping DS1 might make tea.0
