  • Evening all,

I've not checked in for a couple of days, it's just been mad busy here, and from reading everyone's posts it seems we are all in the same boat.
School stuff, paid stuff, Christmas stuff, flying.....
    Well not much flying tbh.
Hugs to all, and get well soons to all that need it (plenty of you and yours by the sounds of it).
I'm still in denial re Christmas, but that can't go on much longer!

Have at least hoovered tonight, plus a bit of tidying.

    I'm rambling....

    See you all tomorrow xx

Morning all. Been MIA for a couple of days. Hope all the poorlies feel better soon. I am on day 12 of the bug, just managing the paid stuff as it's from home but no flying done.

I have brought the Christmas tree into the LR this morning but there are no decorations on it yet.

Will have to miss yet another event tonight as it's outside and I just want to be better.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Aww Jazee that's a loooonnngg bug :(

I'm still coughing like a good 'un too. And I've not been around here either, sorry, folks. I guess we can all identify with being crazy busy.

Just had to pop to town for post office (overseas cards and passport forms for kids - how have they expired already!!!) and having a brew then I am C. L. E. A. N. I. N. G.

Think I'll start with bathrooms, then I need to get DD show stuff together (found the tickets, phew!) aww she was so excited this morning when she realised it was Friday (show day).

Also want to sort my desk, and tidy up last nights craft session which is in a pile on the LR fireplace.

We have decs up here, but batteries need replacing in a couple of bits so will add that to the list. Ooo just remembered of course inlaws are coming over, and we are going to have fish n chips before the show... So I'll sort the table out too - we won't have much time what with hair and make-up

Hoping to pop back later to report how beautifully productive and organised I am :rotfl:

*Healing vibes* for Mr and Mrs Ionafan, Dancemum, Natty, Jazee and Bossy.

    (((Hugs))) Valli.

    Smooth rest-of-the-move vibes, Dizzy.

Sleep well and *no more nightmare* vibes for your DS, ATB.

Lump be gone vibes for you DSD Lynne.

Busy busy busy trying to cram all the kitchen gibble back in now that the dresser's upstairs but the fridge and freezer are in which is a physical impossibility but I'm getting creative. Old fridge and fridge freezer were offfered to the local recycling place where they came from but they're full up so they're on gumtwig and it looks as though the fridge sold within 10 minutes of being listed, hurrah.

Trying to stay on top of the chaos. Managing in some rooms ....
    Better is good enough.

  • OK I am making myself sit down and chill (not easy but I have a glass of wine which is helping). There is a mountain of clean washing to sort and some ironing to do. The utility room floor is filthy, our bed need changing, the fridge needs sorting out and I am behind with paid stuff on job no. 2.

But its weekend and I need a bit of down time so I am trying not to stress.
  • Good evening ladies,

We have been out for a friend's daughter's 18th birthday - lovely meal at a restaurant in the village and reasonably priced. Just having a cuppa now before bed, crossing my fingers for a good night with DS.

DH work clothes have been washed and are drying on the airer in front of the wood burner. Apart from that, no flying at all this afternoon and very little expected this weekend. We are going to see Father Christmas at a lovely place in York tomorrow, then home for the Strictly semi final.

Big hugs to you all xxxx

Just got back from Mr N's work Christmas do; nice time apart from wait while bar owner tried to deny he'd got the email about my food intolerances. Eventually stomped off and brought me back a lovely meal.

    Fairly productive day:
    - Went to gym this morning while Mr N whizzed round with vacuum and duster waiting in for the plumber. This was Plan A.
    - Dropped in to garden centre on my way home for a couple of bits, sadly they didn't have the moss I wanted to make a wreath tomorrow.
    - Returned home to find Mr N and plumber waiting for another plumber. New shower had different fittings to old shower, so plumber 1 had to summon plumber 2 to bring a drill. Plumber 2 - and mate - came and noticed new shower wasn't the same power as old shower. Plumber 2 and mate went off first to one town then another to buy the right one.
    - Plan A would have been that Mr N came with me to dentist, then on to big posh farm shop to get some Christmas goodies. Plan B - I went to dentist while he waited for plumber 2 and mate to return. Went to another nursery on the way home; no moss.
    - Mr N and I went to Ald1, thus swapping today and tomorrows tasks over. Got food for our 2 charity boxes. And food for this weekend when his brother is up to stay.
    - Did a few more miscellaneous bits - hopefully from list but haven't checked - while Mr N tested shower.

have a lovely weekend everyone, no stressing!

Morning all. I'm feeling a little better today but still don't plan to overdo it.

So far I have fed me and the dogs and washed the dishes, sorted out paperwork/finances and that's it.

    Have a great day everyone.

Goodness me Narco that sounds like a right palavar. More healing vibes for the gang of poorlies and (((Hugs))) for Valli.

I've got three ads on gumtwig and had three contacts, one about each - hurrah. The upshot is I've got three people coming who all want to take the items away, even better. I think I need to take something big to the tip, too. *fling* as Piggers would say. I can also now get to my desk in my room of doom without negotiating a path through stacks of boxes, so that's progress. I'd quite like a weekend of finishing up the straightening out but OH wants to get the tree and associated gibble out of the attic so we'll do that today too.

We've also got the house to ourselves for 48 hours before the two panto people arrive so that's rather nice.
    Better is good enough.
