Hi guys,
i am looking for advice, 3 years ago i was a victim of fraud, long story short, i live in a shared accomodation (8 other people) all secured and locked rooms. but was working away/ staying at my partners adress so away form the premises 2-4weeks at a time, someone managed to get into my room and compromise my details and cash a cheque into my account i assume in the hope that i wouldn't realise before i came back and they could withdraw the money.
with this lloyds closed my account and sent me a copy of the cheque. i when't into my local branch and got them to re-open my account in order for me too pay off the outstanding overdraft that i had (£800ish) so i wasn't also landed with a defaulted account in this torrid situation.
i have a CIFAS code 6 marker against me first party fraud and i want too write too the CEO of lloyds in order too fight my case as a victim.
has anyone had the same situation?
has anyone wrote too him and got a response and outcome?
as you can tell my writing skills are not the greatest. i have a mock email i have put together would appriciate feedback and help?
many thanks

Why write to the CEO? The Complaints Department should be the first port of call, and if you don't accept the outcome you can then go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
You are saying someone else paid a cheque (presumably stolen or counterfeit) into your account?0 -
indeed, and because ive called lloyds recently twice, first person told me they don't have a cifas department, and fobbed me of with a adress too send a letter.
second person told too call back on monday as the department does exist however isnt open right now.
i have seen forums ect that have stated they have written too the CEO and complaints get better response.
also if by some small chance antonio is actully on the recieving end the current situation in which he has placed himself in he might be better understanding and feeling in a better mood too push something through and get a resolve0 -
Contacting the CEO is not the official procedure supported by CIFAS. First you go through Lloyds Bank complaints procedure and if that fails ask CIFAS to review it.

Anthorn, the CIFAS marker has already been removed.
OP, as you were advised in the first thread you started (Credit Card board) move on, forget about it, and don't waste your time.

How was this third party meant to withdraw the funds once it was paid into your account? Sorry but I smell BS.0

You also didn't just 'phone up to get it removed.'

I agree......and got them to re-open a closed account in order to pay off an OD?
OP - you have a number of choices here
1 - move on
2 - tell a credible story if you want credible advice
3 - continue to tell the version of events you have and log a complaint to CS, escalate to FOS and give everyone a giggleI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
