Enable Caller ID on your line if you don't have it at the moment (free with the privacy option but it will mean a new 12 month contract) and use a phone with an answer machine. Train your partner to let any international or unrecognised number to go through to the answer machine - they always just hang up.
BT have a free BT Call Protect in your members page.
BT call blocker phones work very well .Works best as a whitelist but you do need caller display and it is £1-75 pm or free .
Problem is these calls are from professional overseas criminals .Get a call on xxx number today and BT block then they use yyy number next week to call.Next week same guys on zzz number will tell you he is from Microsoft .
Latest now is scam BT Business phishing emails .Just be careful as its easy to get caught .
Like the scam phone calls you can report to your email provider whoever that is .
