Happy Birthday EE.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
Fashion on the Ration 28/660 -
Thanks for birthday wishes everyone - had a lovely day with the family. Just hung out at home, had my fave food for tea (roast!! Did turkey pie with GF puff pastry for me, the others had chicken pie with normal puff pastry) and then we played games after tea.
DH got me some fab shoes - if you like quirky shoes look up Ruby Shoos.
Have not counted my Boxing Day money yet but will do so I can work out my NSD's.
Today I am going to a friends for tea - Chinese I believe and she says it is her treat but will try to give her some money but if she won't accept then it will be a NSD (last time she took the money and then gave it back tucked amongst the takeaway containers and we did not realise til we got home!)
Clippy - I used to peel butternut squash until my cousin told me he roasted his in the oven and then used the skin as well. I tried it and it does work - chop in half, scoop out seeds and place on baking tin in the oven until soft. I then chopped it into chunks and chucked it in my curry near the end. Can't believe I have wasted years peeling butternut squash!!0 -
Evening!
It's been a funny few days... worked a bit - chilled a lot... bit emotional in some ways... and frustrating in others... but generally life is good. I have to focus on the positives...
Alas - I'm going to fall short of my target but I'm also giving myself a pat on the back for the ones I have bagged. Had a card arrive to say I needed to pay postage on something that someone had sent... Run out of vitamins... and food basics gone and I thought oh well... So I'm not spending crazy but I'm not going to struggle either.
So I'm wiping my signature clean in readiness for New Year - but will do my utmost to bag a few more NSDs...

Another quiet day as visitors are visiting overnight an aunt but they will be back tomorrow so I haven't bothered clearing up, although I did have a quick Hoover. It's hard work when your not used to it lol.

Hi all,
Spend day today as I joined a well known slimming group. I've got to face facts that after theee years of trying, I am still heading in the wrong direction weight wise. Each year I try on my own, lose some and then put more on. So I've bit the bullet and joined, I'll be paying for it out of my entertainment budget each month.
Also started the decoration of the new cloakroom today, and will continue this tomorrow.
Hope you're all enjoying the festive break, if you're not working.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Felt that done nothing productive today. My plan was long walk however went with a friend and her dog who doesn't walk far.
Went to dd as asked me for lunch. Got frustrated setting up awful game for dgs. Would have liked to gone out as such nice day but dd had to wait in for health visitor.
Then popped to b and q and bought some fairy lights as mine went on xmas eve, got outside ones on it now. Then I decided to buy myself a trifle for tea, somehow reduced pork pies and salad landed in my basket.
Fmess squeeze over I may need to join a slimming club as well at this rate.
