I got a SFD today woo hoo. Productive day, ironing pile done, wardrobe clear out and bedroom good clean. Nice sunny walk. Stayed in tonight so saved myself some pennies.

Happy a whole day to myself has been so chilled out.

    Hello.
Going to brag I say I have just had 6 NSD on the trot. Suppose that's what happens when there are lots of leftovers about. Pleased that I've managed to use them on not have to throw anything out.
Off to look at Januarys thread.

  • Hi everyone

Family arrived back here this afternoon, so prepared dinner and sat down to listen to their exploits. They seemed to have a good time and and took their hosts out for dinner last night.

Anyway all back to normal after this weekend.

Sorry for no check in. On Wednesday and Thursday I fell asleep around 7pm, read between midnight and 2am and then had several more hours sleep. I have become very soft since the weather turned frosty. I go downstairs for food to have with my morning pills, turn on the CH and then wait for the bedroom and bathroom to reach a temperature where I am prepared to take my clothes off and get in the bath. Still a strange sleeping pattern but it's working and fits in fairly well with 'normal' people.

On Wednesday I phoned the doctor's surgery to get my test results and was told that 2 had come back flagged and I had to see the doctor. Receptionist promptly made me an appointment for yesterday afternoon. The good news is, I don't have cancer (apparently the night sweats put a couple of varieties in the frame. However my immune system is seriously compomised, probably by the diabetes, so it looks as though I will have to learn to live with spending 3 months of the year severely under par due to minor bugs that won't go away.

Will have to become super organised, make greater efforts to run my business empire :rotfl: from bed and learn all I can from the poorly people (some of them can't even use a can opener). The really good news :rotfl::rotfl:(no sarcasm button), is that they will continue to monitor me for myaesthenia gravis because of my mum having it. Had another chest x-ray and need more blood tests, to test for several markers, in four weeks.

It was when the doctor asked me when I had last had an x-ray and I said about this time last year, well just before Christmas after catching a bug in September that was still habging around. Feel so pathetic, recovering from a difficult and mentally tough operation like the hip replacement and then being felled by stupid bug (maybe I am a triffid - no wrong John Wyndam, the one with the tripod things that put brain washing plates in peoples heads).

Went to local history meet up today, cancelled my counsellor - she would have seen me if I had needed her but she had lots to sort out and it made the timing of my doctor's appointment easier. Went home and had a rest instead of dashing about (sarcasm button again).

Spendy day because of travelling, couldn't get my brain to work it out last night (2 x £1, £2.40 taxi and a £1.80 bus fare). Combination of feeling like a wet dishcloth and fear (terror) of fallng - at least it gives me something to talk to the pensioners about.

Today I am grateful for not having cancer, for preparing all my food for day before I left home this (Thurs) morning (ate my tea at home as I 'rushed' to catch the infirmary bus (chose not to go to the loo) but was so wiped out by then it was lovely just to take the rucksack upstairs and take out my wraps and a large bottle of water and for having some sort of diagnosis (will have to learn to live with it and work round it).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Calling - well done on your extra payment.

ilovetea - wow 6 in a row, well done.

I have spent money over the last 2 days, I got a pair of fleece lined tights for DD for school, slipper socks for DS (cold floors in this house), some Boots sales bits for DH and one to put away as a gift for next year and some Debenhams sales bits for me - woops. Also bought some half price Christmas chocolate. I am drawing a line under that and moving on.

Today we are going for a long walk with kids and dog and taking a picnic - yes we are the type of people who picnic all year round.

Mothernerd hope your health improves in 2017 and ivy cutting can recommence

Today decided needed milk bit veg so popped out to Sainsbobs probably been better going to Aldee but I was bored. Came back with top 1/2 price. Slightly big but got ties on it. May need larger size for January. Sainsbobs found expensive today so Jan will be just Aldee/Lidl shop.

Used £10 gift card and rest £14 out of my Xmas meal gift money- which is nearly depleted now. £6 left heyho that's me staying in for new year again.

Happy only used my cc once last few weeks that was today for petrol. Decided that is where I went wrong this year
