Valli thinking of you and sending a hug x
Honey Bear just tackle 1 frog at a time; don't try to do too much or it really WILL get you down .... ask me how I know. My motto is baby steps. Can you do something nice for yourself after you've munched some frogs?
Franalamadingo and Jazee hope you and anyone else suffering from various lurgies recovers quickly. Of course that does to Mr Iona too.
Right, going to get off this sofa (I have been doing paid work so not too bad), get my hat, coat, gloves on and take poor unsuspecting Whiz out for a walk. He'll obviously be wearing his 2 fleece coats to stay nice and warm and cosy. Will do the bathroom when I get back.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Valli, Jazee and Mr Iona - you are all in my thoughts xx
Well the curtain pole finally went up last night with much muttering about how much of a pain it is having to do DIY after work  I just kept out of the way in the kitchen, whilst drinking a cold beer and cooking our tea
My mum will be here shortly to hang said curtains, which will finish off the front room nicely.
After yesterdays hefty flying sessions, I am feeling a bit jaded today but must crack on and do some gentle bits and pieces. The next two weeks are mayhem as DH is away and school and pre-school are packed with Christmas events that I am either helping with or attending. :xmastree::santa2:

I will be joining in from next week, it was going to be this week but i made excuses for myself and didnt do it.
however, I have made an acchevment, i have got dressed all week and even managed some lippy, I have been in a whirlwind of ups and downs for a few months but this morning had a lightbulb moment and seem to have snapped out of it, now to clear up the carnage thats been left behind.
so.. the dishes are done, the living room is semi presentable and the kids will be happy because i havent binned the christmas tree.
level ones for me next week, slow and steady as they say0 -
I don't seem to have achieved much today; we went into town this morning for a barrow-load of prescription meds (six items) for me and a fairly large fruit'n'veg shop from the market stall, so all that pretty much wiped me out for the rest of the day. Town was crowded - the spend-a-thon seems to have begun in earnest.
I also looked for a kitchen timer, as mine is on its last legs - JL wanted £16  so I'll manage with the countdown facility on my phone for now, if my timer turns up it's toes completely. They must think I came down with the last shower if they think I'm paying that for a simple mechanical timer!
I have however made a pizza base - just need to construct the topping - and there's a loaf cooking in the BM as I type.
Mr LW is SOADFA this afternoon, watching a DVD of The Matrix *mumbles about "lazy s0d"*- but I'm pleased to say the results of his 2nd chest x-ray have come back clear, so panic over. (His sister fell victim to the evil C so you'll appreciate my concern). I hope YorkshireLad gets similar good news, I know he's also had x-rays.
Valli (((HUGS))) sweetie, and strength vibes for you. Pain-free vibes for your dear Sis.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks for reminding me to just tackle one frog at a time Mumof2 - I want them all magicked away in one hit! I thought having blitzed quite a bit I'd feel more like cracking on today but I've only managed to start on two frogs that I knew needed more information so that's okay but I thought I'd have a bit more get up and go. Frustrating, but I have done a couple of other things that were irritating me and raked the leaves for the last time this year, so all is not lost. In fact, if I got through four or five things that were nagging me every day I'd feel very proud of myself!
I hope all went well for your eyes, Lynnejk, and I hope the new glasses are just the ticket.
Good luck with your decluttering Biscuit Monster. The only way I've found that works for me is to choose one pile of gibble at a time and focus on that until it's sorted into Keep, CS and *fling*.
The next batches should be a big pile of beads and the poetry books I think I should keep but in reality everything I want is online. So, that's tomorrow's lot to deal with. I'm keeping all the Wendy Copes, though, because I love her and she makes me laugh.Better is good enough.0 -

Spent most of the day stuck waiting around in town waiting for the car (being serviced - now £315 poorer and have had my suspicions that the alternator is going proven correct. There goes the Christmas budget
). 3am not the best bedtime for me either last night (having had similar bedtimes the couple of nights before hand due to insomnia), having been working on a clients report "I don't need it until next year, oh, wait, I need it urgently tomorrow". Ho hum.
So today, too tired to be motivated. Bathroom's pretty reasonable anyway, and computer desk is in a nook on the landing so got a quick swipe yesterday, so going to clear away everything from dinner and curl up in a ball on the sofa.Newbie doing the best I can
