Wouldn't call it flying but been busy:
- lesson with 1 student
- 1 assessment done
- 1 report checked and emailed
- cc bill paid
- sorted out all Christmas cards for my siblings as I'm seeing 2 of them at the weekend and also mum, who will see the rest of them.
- addressed all overseas cards ready to be posted tomorrow
Can't remember what else. Determined to get another early night so won't be doing any reports now, though I should. Just need to pack for tomorrow as I have 1 assessment and 1 student, then rush home to collect Mr N and go to my brother for the weekend. So no report typing till Sunday eve........eek.
Good news that MIL has been short listed for the flat we looked at (well, the outside and the communal area) last Sat. If she is successful she should get a letter on Sat so we can look round the inside on Monday.
Go away lurgy vibes to whoever needs them.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Hugs to all- especially those dealing with stress or illness whether themselves or loved ones
My pain levels have been through the roof since yesterday morning- I think mainly due to the cold weather. No flying yesterday but thanks to DH buying us a robotic vacuum and mop on sale years ago I will hopefully catch up with level one today. All I have to do is make sure relevant floor is clear put the hoover/ mop in, press go and then rest! I'm very happy level 1 is floor related as I doubt I'd manage anything else :-)2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Morning all.
Big (((hugs))) and supporting vibes to Valli and pain-free comfort vibes to your sister. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers xx
Welcome to newbies and returning Flyladies
Great news on your vision, lynnejk :T
Pleased to hear that you might have found the right flat for your mil, Narc0 - fingers crossed for you.
Happy de-frogging to HB. Why do we attach so much importance to "stuff"?
Hope the school fayre was a success, dancemum.
Sending pain relief vibes to Jellie and LW, a cheer for MrLW's xray result, a virtual pack of paper hankies to Jazee, and energy vibes to Redshank, lovecrafting and ATB.
The list is perfect for me today. Having finished one important piece of written work (no, not the assignment - that's still on the back burner - this is something I had to have ready for Sunday) and received positive feedback from my supervisor yesterday, I went to visit DH yesterday with a clearer head and feeling more relaxed than I had for a week. While I was there I started writing a list of everything that I would like to do today and tomorrow, starting with a big tidy-up of my study and remaking the bed in the spare room. I have already made a start by picking up some papers off the floor and rearranging my bookshelf to accommodate more weighty tomes for my course. I've also had a little lightbulb moment - I can take the Christmas cards with me to the hospital and write them during visiting hours, then DH can be of some practical help by sticking the address labels and stamps on the envelopes
I won't waste time typing out my plan for the day now, but I fully intend to be able to cross off so many items from the list that currently covers the back of a big envelope, that this evening I will be able to transfer anything that's left to a very much smaller one for tomorrow.
Thank you all for your GWS wishes for my DH. He is continuing to do well and sat out in a chair for most of yesterday. They sent in the heavy mob after lunch - the physioterrorpists - and he was able to walk to the loo and back with help. Babysteps!
Catch up later. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x0 -
Morning
Lunch made
Kitchen cleaned round and sorted, rubbish out in bins
All of downstairs hoovered, tinsel got everywhere
Cat currently is ignoring the tree, as he is only 2 or 3 years old we did wonder if he would go up it, or play with the baubbles but so far no.

Morning all.
Iona Taken a tip from you and have a pad with me this morning! Great news that DH is on the mend and that you are feeling calmer. Good luck with clearing the list this morning.
Valli (((hugs)))
Narc0lepsy Great news on the flat. Will keep fingers crossed.
I was at the gym at 0645 this morning. Although I could easily have been in jail for murdering DH last night. I was out until 2100. DH got home at about 1800 so I had asked him to do his sandwiches and prep breakfast. I got home and he'd gone to bed having done NOTHING, and left the milk out all day so we didn't have any.
I got to bed about midnight after having dinner and he woke up to say he didn't have to be up until 0630 so had reset the alarm. I took great pleasure in waking him at 0545 when I got up for my class.
Anyway. Having a busy day of flying today. The house needs it.
Have a great day everyone.:DGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Yeah! DH has just rung me to say that the doc says he is fit to come home later today

(((Hugs))) and thoughts for you, Valli. Excellent news about Mr Ionafan. Cats always seem to take great delight in ignoring their own toys Kazwookie until no-one's looking. Love it, FBO!
None of the planned dejunking is happening because the books are apparently rather valuable but could be more so if I can negotiate something with a local dealer, so I've made the initial phone call. I've already done the poetry books at some point in the past so that's how significant they were to me - I didn't even notice they were gone! So you're right, Ionafan, some stuff clearly isn't important after all, and it was a lesson I needed to relearn. And I've decided to keep the beads because they are pretty and looking at them makes me happy. Spark joy? So I'm now stumped as to what to tackle next. Paper shuffling, probably. Boooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrinng.
OH wants to go out to find some tongue and grove cedar wood which I'm insisting on in the wardrobe as I've seen three moths over the past 10 days and that coupled with the ex-pong is worrying me, plus which we still haven't decided what to do about the fridge/freezer issue. I think I'll just go along with what he wants so that we can make a decision and have done with all the faffing about. Half the contents of the kitchen are in my office and, to coin a phrase, 'it's doing my head in.'Better is good enough.0 -
Great news ionafan!!
Still not much flying done for me this week, just about keeping on top of the dailies and a bit of hoovering. Will try and do a bit tonight so it isn't all left for the weekend, which is my normal trick! However I want to get an exercise session in and that takes priority for me tonight so will see how it goes!0 -
Hello
Sorry I've been a bit AWOL. Glad DH is on the mend ionafan xxx hugs Valli I hope your sisters move was comfortable, although moving to a hospice is awful, they are often wonderful places, for the family too xxx
Hugs to everyone else having a tough time at the mo, try to stop, even for a moment, and take a deep breath for yourself xxx
Says her who's about to dash off again.
School bun sale bake attempt was pitiful. Ah well. It's the thought that counts!
