Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
It is your responsibility to read the forum rules, please follow them on this thread as Flylady has been here a LONG time and is a fabulous support and resource for lots of us.
Thank you to Vallifor last week's thread
There are 3 levels per day with depending on how much time you have. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up.
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week:
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

AF ~ Aunt Flo 'time of the month'.. nothing to do with flying but it comes up often.
ETA ~ Edited to add
Gibble ~ miscellaneous crap that appears forever homeless
Dot-to-dot ~ pick a small area (not a whole room) like a chair/coffee/table/shelf/worktop or wherever- thats your first 'dot' - totally clear it - clean it - and only put back what should be there - deal with what you have removed (not just move it somewhere else) then if you have time move on and do the same to another 'dot' -the idea is just like a dot to dot puzzle, you aim to join up all the dots and have a tidy room. The trick is to keep each dot tidy until you get them all joined up! All credit to AnW's Mum for this one
RoD ~ Room of Doom, the one room that feels like it is a permanent pit and cannot be used to its potential!

ooh I'm only first because I've come up to do some more paperwork and am sidetracking!
Glad it's living room tomorrow as I've got to do it because of a private assessment tomorrow afternoon.
Have a good week, busy little flying bees.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Thank you for the lists

Thanks for last week's list Valli, and for this week's Natty with a special thank you for doing the cards.
I'm in this week but very busy tomorrow so I'll catch up if I can, or more likely see you Tuesday.
More (((hugs))) for you, Valli. You and your sister are much in my thoughts.Better is good enough.0 -

Thank you Natty for the new thread, and Valli for last week's.
And thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and cake. Yes Dizzy, I'm sticking at 21 again for a while, until I get to another birthday ending in zero, and then I'll have an excuse for a proper party _party_
DH is still very much under the weather with flu (despite having had the jab - just hoping that I don't catch this strain from him) so we didn't get out for lunch as planned. Instead I cooked a roast dinner, of which he managed to eat quite a lot
My diary is ridiculously full of bits and pieces but I am hoping to get my essay finished this week, so flying will have to take a back seat (again)but the house is basically clean and tidy enough to pass muster if anyone calls unexpectedly.
Thinking of you, Valli. (((Hugs))) to you and love to your sister xx
(((Hugs))) also to katiecat x
Please help yourselves to spoons and sticks if you need some for this week x0 -
Hiya,
New hereAlways feels a bit weird joining in something where everyone knows each other but really could do with the extra motivation on the housework front. Have an 8 year old DD1 (scatterer of sharpies and random bits of crap), 21month old DD2 (aka 'the Destroyer of Worlds'), DH who does as much as he can but works a 48hour contract (usually more hours than that) plus hours of travel time, and me, head in clouds (internet), general state of chaos and overwhelm, always planning that day where I'll suddenly be organised

Thank you Natty for the lists and Valli for last week
Lots of big squishy hugs Valli and best wishes for your sister
Belated birthday wishes Iona - hope it was a good one
I've had a fantastic week with my DS - lots of out and about, great food and drink and a bucketful of laughsHe's now left to visit his father, then some friends in Southampton, before he flies to the USA. He's starting in Las Vegas, visiting with some friends, and then travelling the southern states for six weeks - lucky chap.
Only managed to stay on top of the dailies and the WM/TD/PA, so the place definitely needs a bit of a good clean through.
Hugs, gws vibes, sticks and spoons if you need some
Hope you all have a super Monday

Yoohoo! I'm in again this week - moving into our new caravan over the course of this week so the builders can crack on in the house.
I got your PM Natty re: cards Thanks x
Ps - welcome Redshank. ATB and I will empathise on the kiddie front. I have two- dark destroyers of my own!0 -
Morning all. Thank you for the thread Natty. After all my good intentions I didn't do any last week as I was so poorly DS and I decamped to my mum's whilst DH was away. On the plus side, things are much as I left them. Will be spending much of today and this week recouperating in the living room so a good clean of this space will be nice.Mortgage Outstanding Nov '16 £142,772.75Mortgage Additional OPs 2017 Target £4522.80/ Actual £865.00GC Feb 0/£2000
