    Welcome back Jellie!

Thanks ATB. I've taken everything to the scrapstore, Shabby Chic and the other CS, *fling* <fling> *fling*, broken up boxes for recycling, got everything ready for Kelpie's hydrotherapy tomorrow, put the paperwork out so we can go and find something else in the fridge freezer line afterwards, decluttered a meeting from my diary tomorrow night because I really don't want to do it, and sent the computer off for a holiday with the freelance engineer who will carry out major software surgery. *curses* to microsfot for an unwanted windows 10 download that totally scrod it up months ago.

I had a bit of a lightbulb moment the day before yesterday - clutter can't be tidied - it can sorted and it can be stored but then it'll need more attention. I've been !!!!!footing around this issue for years. It has to GO. I want my life back. It's been dominated by excess stuff for too long.
    Better is good enough.

LameWolf sorry you are suffering stress re meet & greet sessions but good news that you have a client booked in already. Let's hope that it gets easier for you as time goes by.

    Welcome back Jellie!

Honey Bear well done on taking the step and deciding enough is enough. I hear you re the clutter - I'm completely stuck due to J and now my son as well being hoarders and I'm not. J has agreed that the front room can be mine and he will take out all the stuff that is his and I've asked if that can be done from Christmas. Let's see what happens!

Iona how scary for you re DH. How is he doing today and is he still in hospital?

I've done most of the stuff on the kitchen list and did most the lounge, hall and stairs from yesterday so good progress. Also walked the dog, 2 x WM, paid stuff etc - need to iron later on so S will have a non-creased school shirt for tomorrow! After than desperate to sew - I've had to give up knitting due to cursed RSI in my hands and now I'm loving learning to sew. Things I make aren't great but slowly and surely I'm improving. Any other sewers on here?

I sew, Mumof2. At least, I would if I could get to the machine and had a clear worksurface for the machine. I have five boxes of fabric destined to be patchwork quilts, as well as four cushions that are due to be machined as soon as I can get enough space and time. In fact, why not this week? If I got the cushions made and over to the chalet that would fun, and a step forward because it would be degibbling at the same time. Thank you for asking the question, Mumof2. That moved it right up my agenda.

I've managed level one and part of level two today...followed by a sleep :-)
I'm another sewist. I've taught myself over the last few years and generally make clothes.

Sorry if I can't always keep up on general chat and if I sometimes make mistakes or talk nonsense. A mixture of pain and painkillers make me blither a bit!

Lovely to start catching up with you all and hugs to all who need them

Don't worry - keeping up with the chat isn't compulsory.;) And I know exactly where you're coming from with the pain and painkillers thing. My brain frequently goes for a morphine-induced time-out! :D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Evening all,

I'm in and thanks for the list Natty! Oh dear me it is bad that I'm only saying that on Tuesday night.

House is a pit. Not even managed all the daily stuff. Only got in from work at 6.45.
    Argggh.

iona hope your DH is OK, very scary x

    Valli continuing hugs x

Redshank welcome, I could have pretty much written your initial post, except children are different ages. Hope the thread helps x

LW hope you get more bookings. I know where you are coming from with the social anxiety, hopefully it is worth it for the benefit the doggy visitors bring you. Once you start getting repeat clients it will be better x
  • Ahhh atb potty training, hated it, DS took forever. Now I worry about the carpet when he has been on a big night out and comes home looking a bit green. That's when the just-in-case bucket comes out.

Up at half six, washing shuffled, kitchen cleaned, paid stuff no. 1, straight to paid stuff no. 2, picked DS up from work, made tea, cleaned kitchen (again), clean washing put away and more work on job no. 2.

Done for the day, pjs on, glass of wine and feet up.

Hi Jellie, baby steps all the way.

Oooh Yorkshirelass - you've just reminded me there is some wine leftover from the weekend. I must go drink it now before the open bottle goes off :D

Oh crikey, I haven't managed much today - "Clear and wipe work surfaces" was the extent of it! :o Place still looks a lot better as I emptied and refilled the dish washer too and might venture to clean the TD and WM.

    Night everyone!
