Redshank welcome; there are no strangers here, just friends we haven't yet met.
I'll be doing very limited Flying for the foreseeable - 'nuvver ruddy lupus flare. Washed my hair this morning, and just doing that totally wiped me out; the last of the Cassie hair has been vacuumed up though; I now have to wait for more bookings, which will hopefully start to happen as the clients of the new company get to realise I'm here.
Valli (((HUGS))) I can't even begin to imagine; but you and Sis are in my thoughts. xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thank you so much for the lists, I am in
x
Last week was a total write off - we never got the money we are owed, so court process we go. Thank you to a super Flylady who is helping me behind the scenes xx
Redshank - welcome. As Dizzy says, you have my greatest empathy with destructive kids, mine are 4 and 2 - mess breeds in their wake and my sanity is slowly ebbing away. If I step on another dratted Shopkin or toy car I may well just flip! x
I have been mega productive today - so productive that when it got to school run time this afternoon I realised I hadn't showered or brushed my teeth - which I was going to do as soon as I got home from school this morningOn the plus side the house looks less like Mr and Mrs Twits' gaff than it did this morning.
DS is doing super well with potty training, I am so proud of him. Right, off to finally have that shower whilst the kids seem happy (Thank the gods for netflix) xMFW

Afternoon all. I am in awe of all of you, esp those with youngsters to chase round after.
So, I am in but went off list before the paid stuff today as I had to catch up with hoovering through. And that's the extent of my flying.
Dogs have had two walks (optional carry for Poppet, she has lazyitis!) so it's now time to think about their food and ours. DH forgot to bring meat home so it's whatever I've got in the store cupboard.
Have a great evening everyone, oh and welcome Redshank.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Hi everyone
Thanks for the list Natty.
I'm back for week #2.
Hi Redshank - I am new too and only joined this thread last week
The living room definitely needs some TLC but I don't think I can face the vacuum... Does anyone have a Thomas - https://goo.gl/8xeiIC - amazing vacuum but too much faffing with the cleaning afterwards sometimes0 -

Welcome Redshank
Had a very chaotic early afternoon when plumber arrived to have another fiddle with the shower and turned off all electrics and water while I was frantically typing a report and getting poised for a student and her mum to turn up for assessment! Managed to finish hoovering before they arrived and also to turn on heating. Oh, and much of the day I've been 'tracking' a parcel due for delivery which turned up in the 10 mins between the plumber leaving and the student arriving.
News on shower is that it still doesn't work. Plumber (same one as last time, who said it needed a new part or a new unit), was told by management that it may be a bit of grit so to take it apart and hoover it. Guess what, it didn't work. so he's taken more photos. 10 days so far without a shower, wonder if they do compensation. Lucky we both go to the gym, and have a bath as well.
Lovely student but has all the 'Specifics' including Asperger's so I'm exhausted now. Won't be a late night.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Welcome Redshank. It helps on this list if you're a teeny weeny bit mad - who else but Flyladies would put on a Benny Hill song and dance round the house singing at the tops of their voices!
Flying achieved here today: zilch.
I rang for an ambulance for DH at 9.00 when he all but collapsed on me - breathing very shallow and painful, giddy, etc etc. To cut a long story short, I spent the day with him in A&E, and at 6 pm he was finally admitted to Medical HTU with pneumonia, on an IV ABs drip and oxygen. I finally got home at 8.45 pm, having eaten and drunk nothing since breakfast except one cup of water. Why do they make it so difficult for patients' relatives? Only a grotty drinks vending machine in the A&E waiting area, and a half mile walk down the other end of the hospital's "main street" to the cafe which only serves "proper" food at lunchtime.
That's another day without me writing a single word of my assignment. With all the hospital visiting in the coming week, I can see myself asking for an extension to the deadline0 -
Evening all
Gosh Iona - that sounded really scary. I hope DH soon feeling better and pleased he's been attended to so promptly. Sending you lots of big squishy hugs and strength to get through. I'm sure an extension on your assignment will not be a problem.
Sending some more hugs to Valli and hope your sister comfortable
Sorry to hear about your flare-up LW and hope you soon recovered. Fingers xd for you that you soon get some more bookings
You're sounding really excited about the next stage in proceedings Dizzy. Hope it all works out okay for you all.

Oh dear god, don't talk to me about bloody Shopkins
And thank you for all the welcomes everyone - I feel at home already
Today didn't go *quite* according to plan. Dropped eldest DD at school (ten mile drive each way), then Monday morning's are an outdoor playgroup for me and youngest DD (nearly midnight and I still smell of woodsmoke!) and, as today was payday, went shopping this afternoon straight from playgroup - which took all the afternoon until time to pick up eldest. Home by 4.15, girls went off to hunt for eggs (we've half a dozen hens), helped by our springer, then they helped me unload the shopping into the house.
Bonus - actually managed to unpack the shopping and put it all away! This is an unusual occurrence(wiped out/cleaned the inside of the fridge in the process which I guess is technically Tuesday's task but...)
As to Lovely Living Room, Happy Hall and Safe Stairs....
Random bits of paper scattered across the living floor now in the recycling.
Living room floor swept (we have hard floors downstairs). Mopping will have to wait for another day (it always does!)
Downstairs hall now in a reasonable condition! Scattered shoes tidied into under stairs cupboard, floor swept (lot of dried mud from wellies...apparently my constant requests that boots be taken off outside fall on deaf ears), various abandoned items of clothing in laundry basket, dust sheets that had been sitting there for 5 weeks after painting eldest's bedroom now away in airing cupboard, various bits waiting on the stairs to find their home upstairs, now actually upstairs, worst of muddy bits squirty-ed and wiped up.
Besides that I managed to make inroads into folding and putting away some of the accumulated laundry/floordrobe, cooked the kids dinner, and nobody died. Win!
I had hoped to achieve more but a bout of insomnia last night meant it was well past 2am before I fell asleep, which meant when I took youngest to bed at half 7 I managed to accidentally doze off - leaving my eldest to be entertained by Dennis the Menace on Netflix until I staggered back downstairs at half 9  Terrible mother :PNewbie doing the best I can:A
